Chemistry help please

six atoms of element a combine with eight atoms of element b to profduce six compound particles.how many atoms of element a and b does each particle contain?>are all atoms used to form compounds.

that's what I thought but I forgot that you could change both ratios by an equal amount.

Well. 1 A is used per compound and 1.33 B are used per compound.

To be honest I would multiply by 3 to get rid of the decimal for B, so it's 3 A and 4 B per compound.

But idk this is a little confusing.
