Warrior Guide Cut Down - Let's get some guides stickied!

Hey Warriors, how's my second favourite section doing? Friendly Bowman ambassador Kevvl here with an important announcement.

I was talking with B about the whole guide situation, and he agrees that the guides should be way more visible and the old comment system put back into place. The problem? We gotta remove the less used and less updated guides lest they clog up half the forum page with their thick gooey uselessness. We also gotta replace the outdated Pre-BB guides with the brand spankin' new Post-BB guides that I'm sure you've all been cranking out.

Now I don't lurk around here nearly as much as I used to, so I'm pretty much blind to the situation in these musclebound parts. Any guides you think should be deleted, and any guides you think deserve a spot in the massive sticky section?

The criteria for deletion:
[*]Outdated - Anything Pre-BB fits under this category, UNLESS the owner is still active and plans to update the guide.
[*]No Longer Useful - Guides for things that are no longer necessary or weren't super necessary to begin with. If it's got a tiny bit of use, but a vague purpose? The jury's up, but I'd recommend deleting those types. This is NOT the same as outdated. You can update a useless guide all you want and it'll still be useless. Self Deprecating Example. Don't be afraid to nominate guides or guide concepts that you feel aren't necessary.
[*]Duplicated - We don't need 5 different guides dedicated to the same subject. Find the most in-depth and well organized one and keep that one. Ideally, there should be ONE guide for Warrior Skill Builds, ONE damage range thread for all Warriors, and ONE guide for Warrior Training. I realize this isn't always possible, but it would make our lives a lot easier. Collaberate if you have to. If we can cut those down to size, it gives us a lot more leniency when it comes to the more lucrative guides, such as the ones about Warrior weapons or comparing Warrior classes

The criteria for stickies:
[*]Good. - No seriously. If it's clear, makes sense, and logical, it's a good guide. I trust the Class Section Veterans when it comes to creating and identifying awesome guides. You don't need guidance here. No guides that fit the criteria? Make one. Here's your chance for a nearly guaranteed sticky -- assuming it doesn't suck.

Select Outdated guides will likely be archived for Pre-BB players. We'll decide that later, just focus on cleaning what's here and now.
Training by far.
I'm in the midst of leveling a DW, and taking note of the various places I've trained. I could definately compile something for training.

http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStory-Guide-Spearman-174.html this guide is out of date.
http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStory-Guide-Dark-Knight-321.html this guide is scrapped.

http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1802701/10#comments_list this guide -needs- a sticky.

Currently in a hole in terms of school work, but I'll try and get around to updating the WDT, and when I'm not in F range, I could probably help with updating the other guides. :x

Dark Force is actually called Berserk, for instance.

Oh right... one thing I do need to do is "translate" the skills again =p

EDIT: Okay, translated the skills =p

Well, Kevvl... as it stands, the Post-BB Warrior SP guide is as best as I could get it so far... had some problems with random people arguing, but each build seems sound and works, so if you wanna sticky it as planned, go ahead.

So far we've got a couple of SP guides (Spearman, Page, and Everyone) but no word on the Damage Range threads or Training. Any idea if those are in the works at all? In terms of SP, the "Everyone" guide is more in-depth than either the Spearman or the Page guide, but the Spearman guide's also got training locations and various other things to make it awesome. If the owner of the class-specific guides switched to Training instead we'd be good.

They're just butthurt that mech's are coming out soon.

has anyone redone the damage tables for Combo and coma/panic yet? I can write a script in VB to calculate how much damage you'd do with X level panic and coma with Y level Combo, and Z orbs if need be. it'd just take some typing.

I could probably also work out a Combo vs Coma and a Combo vs Panic graph so you know which is better for your damage to level.
Just wondering @Kevvl will you be doing the same for all guide sections? Like, the Thief section for example? I looked at your recent threads you made but there's none for a Thief guide updating. Thanks.
I think Kirayamoto's is a lot more in-depth, and since it's already stickied we'll probably just leave it.

Before you unsticky my guide, let me say that I will be updating it when I get some time. I'm currently doing university applications, and will be doing them until mid-February (yay for applying to universities in 2 countries >_&lt. My semester ends in late January, so that's giving me a lot of crap too. I would've posted earlier, but I got suspended for 24hrs by a moderator for apparently flaming/flame baiting someone by asking if his brain was just for show.

As long as you save the following link: http://www.eng.uwaterloo.ca/~ccsoon/WeaponComparisons.htm

I will remain happy.

The formulas are wrong as of now, but I do believe nothing changed in ASPD.

I'm also going to start writing a training guide from warrior -> Drk. We'll see if thats needed.
All the mods work with all the sections. Send in reports and we'll deal with the people you reported quickly.

I'd say the aran section is sort of short, all of them are Feb 23 Updated.

In this case, the damage ranges can't really be used for post-bb users, the recommended equips are eh, some equips could be changed around since the acc formula is useless. The Aran build itself is ok I suppose, since Arans weren't really changed all that much besides skill %s, which aren't listed. The training spots are outdated, and once the reconstruction patch comes, we'll need new builds.
I know you are just joking (i hope) but in nearly every possible situation the Executioner would be better.
@Above, good to know you weren't suggesting deleting them outright, my heart skipped a beat when i saw that.
Of course I'm joking! I can't afford those swords.

The PG-Accuracy thing pretty much kills the point of an HP warrior. Ideally, that guide will be removed from the main forum list.

HERE'S HOW I ENVISION IT.

The best guides, the post BB guides go up on the forum list. Not collapsed, visible for all to see. With the press of a button, you can see pre-BB guides and/or the less awesome ones.

The Discussion threads are here to stay, and they'll be filled with new life if the comments section is revamped. Silver's guide was pretty much a guarantee to begin with, but it's good to have support

Definitely does! Thanks a ton!

To your bolded message, read my new updated message. It would NOT be to support people playing illegal servers, however. Merely the other versions such as EMS.
