Lets all be honest here guys noone's gonna believe you are the captain of the football team and the hunky hunk that won the game in the last 2 seconds. Just admit that you're a loser like me and just plays video games.

I'm doing Football and I have an elective which is Auto Shop so I guess that can count as extracurricular.

Stuff out of school doesn't count right?

Tech crew for musicals
Jazz Band
Choirs
Percussion Ensemble

I'd join Anime Club but the one at my school freaks me out.

Freshman Year:Japanese Club
Sophomore:Jap, Chinese Club, and Marching Band
Junior:Jap, Chinese, MB, and Military History Club
Senior:Jap,Chinese, MB, Military, and Stock Investment Club
Also I've been offered to be a Japanese Club officer since last year but I declined cause I was lazy. Now I'm just kind of like an "honorary officer"; I can get the perks of being an officer without having to do the work(though I still help out with cleanup and such sometimes), but also without getting leadership credit.

@fraddBS: So does my school. And those electives are not extracurricular, but instead are listed on my transcript.

I'm currently a Senior in highschool: SO far I've got
Secretary of Model UN
President of Frisbee Club (lol)
Captain of Men's Track and Field and State competitor last year
Internship at State Health and Science University
Key Club, Middle-eastern Student Union, Asian club,
All-state Band (Trombone/Euphonium)

I'm a little worried though. I know so many people who have taken a trip to foreign countries and have had amazing experiences there, and a trip like that beats most of the stuff on my list...

Sophomore year: FBLA

I'm in sophomore year right now.
If band is part of your academic schedule, it isn't extracurricular so don't put it as one.

@Oncall: I've been doing it since 6th grade.
But on my resume and for college apps I've just been talking about my high school years.
I still find it hilarious that I had only 1 extracurricular activity and got into UC Berkeley. Srs, the whole thing was just me sitting down and talking about stuff and then sitting down and re-watching all the things I had seen weeks earlier.
I was concertmaster of an orchestra that performed around the world for 4 years (member for 7; toured 6 countries, was featured as a soloist multiple times)
Founded a community service organization involving visualizing (through fine art media) elderly people's life stories
Part of the school choir for 2 years, also participating in a tour choir that won a statewide festival and the men's a cappella group
Won a scholastic art and writing award gold medal for poetry and was invited to introduce a speaker at Carnegie Hall

I go to the same school as this guy but it doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't matter to anyone else either lol. If you do extracurriculars for college you're pretty stupid.
Clubs positions are also so cookiecutter college app material lol.
Aww man -.- I feel like such an underachiever now. I'm only in golf and volunteer weekly. I just can't seem to make an academic team no matter how hard I try to study. Club day is coming up though maybe I should go crazy with clubs like TehRaygunicorn.
It doesn't really matter so long as you make it sound impressive (srs).

For example, my "community service" was just watching some movies and critiquing them. When writing my college app, I said I was "Volunteering for the artistic sake of our community. I partook in the 14th North American Film Festival and assessed various works of art from various different states, Canada and even a few submissions from Mexico. Not only did our decisions help enrich our community by introducing viewers to new cultures and perspectives on life, but it also instilled in me a new found appreciation for the meaning of diversity and just how priceless different life experiences are."

Which is super lulzy because the submissions we got from Mexico sucked and were literally made in just five minutes. Enriching our culture my ass.

>7 years of Tech Theater
>4 Years of being in our Medical Bio-Science Academy
Within that: -4 years worth of medically based classes and multiple AP/college level science classes along with a CC class which is a two-part EMT class
-200 hours of community service at a local hospital
-40 hour project for seniors at an assisted living facility
-An internship at an assisted living facility mainly dealing with Alzheimer's and Dementia care
-Multiple large scale group projects that involve the local community
-Multiple job shadowing opportunities
-Also the Treasurer of this academy which has 150 people
>2 years of being Treasurer for our News Club which has only been around for 2 years
>3 years of being with a community wide, professional theatrical production working backstage with this year being the 4th

I'm also going to see if I can join our branch of HOSA and get involved in some competitions. Would have joined last year when it started, but I had schedule conflicts.
Especially since people dumber than I am have been placing in the top 5 in our division (or whatever they call it). o.o

Used to be in Art Club, Writing Circle, and Jr Robotics. In the last one, I was the only girl there, which got uncomfortable rather quickly... Try telling someone to insert a peg into a servo motor without 5 guys saying "That's what she said"... o.o

I guess president of both the German National Honor Society and the Latin National Honor Society count, too.
