Oh my god Im an idiot
So a few days ago I was trying to sell nx to bagzofmilk, a rich high level guy, and usually I have people pay first, but I decided to be a little more loose about it, and gifted him first. I gifted him a cube, and I got a notification that said something like "There was an error with your request...you will be given a refun." I got a fame with it, and I thought it was odd that refund was spelled wrong, but I remembered that Nexon is famous for their spelling errors so I ignored it. After a few times of regifting him the cube to see if it would work, it didn't, so he picked some other items like a vip hair color, tim's lab, other cubes, and other stuff I don't remember, to see if the cube was glitched. I got that same error message everytime.
Later, I tried selling someone else nx, and it surprisingly worked. I sold nx to other people, and it worked everytime. Whenever someone recieved their item I got a notification that sent me a message from the buyer, and a fame. I suddenly realized that bagzofmilk totally scammed my butt of more than 20k nx without me even knowing it. He typed that "error" message into the note, and I totally fell for it. fml
Edit: I DID NOTICE THAT MY NX WAS DECREASING, but I know Nexon screws up alot, and the message did say that I'd get a refund so I thought nothing of it.

When you see "you will be given a refund", you should know its a scam

Edit: I just assumed that the little green notification popped up anytime you tried to gift someone. I also forgot about the times when I couldn't gift something and got actual errors in the cash shop. Obviously I haven't been selling nx for that long

If it was a true error, than you wouldn't have gotten the fame from gifting someone a NX item.

It's only limited length for the sender, not the receiver. I'd have typed essays in there but... nobody ever gifts me stuff

Are you sure it's that short? I've been thinking about it and I'm pretty sure he left out the D in refunD because he ran out of space, and although I do not have any proof I can assure you it did happen. Hopefully he doesn't have a basil and I can gift him something cheap and get a photo. >.<

I know it was stupid because if there really was an error, the transaction would've been stopped in the cash shop before I lost any NX. I really wasn't thinking.

Clever guy...an ass, but a damn clever one. This is one of the rare situations where I can't say it was entirely your fault for falling for it. He did a good scamming job there.

It is required to type a message to the other person when gifting them. The person recieving the item can leave you a message, but they don't have to.
