Mercedes should have died instead of Freud
The Black Mage should have sent Mercedes to her death. Who agrees with me? That dancing elf queen of NEETS needs to get off her lazy ass and start getting back to work. Her town is still frozen, and she should be running it right now. [i]She's the damn elf queen for god's sake, and she shouldn't leave the job to them three hags.[/i]
Freud nor Afrein ( If he's dead ) should have died. Frozen and time, they should. Not dead. >;l

Freud ESCAPED with the egg, which means he LIVED.
Freud is a human so he probably died of old age?

It's nice and simple, that and Mabinogi's storyline has dozens of subplots and plot twists and everything.
And some of them even change if you (The player) makes different choices.
Unlike inFamous, there's no official path to the choices.

Having Freud live would be too OP. Just imagine it, he was a master of magic and masterminded the entire seal (Luminous was just the executor).
No doubt he was the unofficial leader of the heroes, since he plays a role in almost every storyline, and Phantom came to him for help.
And it wouldn't make sense for him to start back at level 10, and Afrien being a tiny dragon again. And it wouldn't make sense for him to lose power, and Afrien still being huge; because of the way the Spirit Pact works.
I'd much rather they expand Evan's storyline to 200+ quests (Sitting at around 120 or so right now), and have him find journals of Freud or something.
Then have all the other heroes have an expanded storyline to find out more about Freud, and who he was.

*I daresay that having both Freud and Afrien live wouldn't be possible either. I'm not entirely sure how the Spirit Pact fully works (That should be expanded too), but Afrien taking the shot for Freud ended up freezing and immortalizing him, and leaving Freud to die of natural causes. If dragons are immortal, than Freud being frozen and Afrien living on might be possible, but the Spirit Pact might be severed in the process.
None of them could have predicted this, so Afrien did the natural thing and tried to save his soul partner, even if that meant ultimately killing off Freud.

but..if mercedes died, then we'd be left with gender-confused Aran.
Having one girl on the team was already a gift.
I agree, mainly because I'm one of those obnoxious Freud fangirls.

No phantom isn't useless. I actually like his storyline more than Mercedes. And speaking of which, the classes should get a better storyline.

Technically only Nexon Korea followed Eragon. Nexon Japan made their own story for Evan involving a war against the dual blades(which of course also changes the db story) which was much better.
