Help a fellow warrior outhero

As the title say.

Been away for a long time, almost 3-5 years.

My last character was a crusader in the early 9x's...

And im really keen to continue with a new one. What hit me the first is items? There's no more WGs, no more pacs, fs? zak helm? Maple Shields? 1hands?

Where do I start, all I see are these 15x , 14x equips..

Cheers everyone

What you should just do, is enjoy the game, find a guild to ask your questions to, and learn along the way. There's no need to rush. You can pretty much forget the maplestory you knew back then and treat it as a completely new game.

Yeah, since you'll be leveling up pretty quickly, there's not much of a need to worry about equips until you reach end game stuff.
You can get most of the equips for free if you train at the right places until level 150.

For upgraded items, you have a couple of things to be concerned with.
1.) slots: you can scroll x amount of times + 2. Hammers can be applied to add slots (from CS or events or elite bosses)
2.) stars: only can be applied when there are no upgrade slots left. Each star adds more stats
3.) potential: rare<epic<unique<legendary (bonus stats)
4.) nebulite: you can add a nebulite which can give bonus stat or effects/skills

Again, don't worry too much about those things until you reach 150 and up

@timothyc131: Free items? from Nexon? For free? Wow that's something really really new.

I did 1-45 in my first day and been away for a couple of Days, I Think i'll make 100-120 within 2 Days.

So basically save the Money for later investments? You say go for the 14x equips or just straight save for 15x ?
There's so much accessory items also I have no clue about. Rings, badges, belts , shoulder pads. What to get ? When to get it? What to avoid?

Looking at a upgraded item is just so confusing, I remember there was 5-7 upgrade slot and that's pretty much it lol.. -.-'

@ellybelly hmmm, well items have changed recently
In the book icon on the left of the screen there's like this ginger dude with glasses. Click him, then click the present box. You can get free equipment up to lv60.
Lv60-70 is done at sleepy wood drakes or ludibrium party quest
70-140 you grind at romeo and juliet party quest
140-165 grind at dimention invasion

Its actually really quick nowadays and with enough work you should be able to reach 150 in 3-7 days depending on how hardcore you grind
The gear you find on the ground is plenty fine for those levels.

Sorry for being annoying, I understand there's plenty of threads around to read from..

But I haven't played in so much time I am completley Clueless as to what most items are nowadays.

I quit this game when the sisscor of karma got available.. Horntail necklace, zak helm all in FM.

As now items in FM are mostly 140+ , 150+. I Think it's better to just buy those once I reach those levels?
I am currently lvl 50 with approx 10b meso, I got NX available at all times, But levling with White items, vendor items seem pretty dull and how are you supposed to get by 70-80+ with just Whites?

Any help is appreciated.

1. Much easier to level. 200 is not the achievement level. 250 is. Very hard to get to. Only like 9 lv250s so far.
2. There are still WGs, PACs, zhelms and stuff. But they're not the best equipment again.
3.. Let's see if I can find those threads again.

EDIT: tbh i actually don't know where to start. read those and just ask about anything you're confused about
