Playstation support help
Basically my 3 year old ps3 is broken and I decided that I want to send my ps3 back to Sony seeing if they will fix it or a send a new one. My question to you guys is that,
will they accept my ps3 without the warranty, also if they accept it, I want to know if it cost money. (Little low on cash right now.)
Any suggestions or comments on how playstation support works, will be helpful.
Just buy a ps3 slim. A lot easier, and more reliable.
Unless you already have one, in that case I don't know.
Oh, and check your cables. Sometimes the communication between video/ audio cables can get messed up.
This is especially true for HDMI Cables, I recently had to replace mine.
Also, try holding the green button until you hear two beeps, it resets the video settings that may be screwed up.
Hope this helps o-o
My ps3 is the slim, also I already did everything you suggested and still get the outcome of a black screen.
What's wrong with it? Sony offered to fix my friends YLOD for 150 bucks
When I turn it on it's just a black screen. It's not YLOD because YLOD is when you turn on your ps3 it turns back off, mine just stays on and doesn't do anything.

@Squishyy: $45, but it will probably be more for a ps3

Do you know how much they charged you?
