With the Nightwalker nerfs looming and most likely going to go through I decided to record this video to serve as a reminder for myself and all the night walkers out there. I do believe that the nerfs are justified to balance this class, although it does not make me any happier about it. Also I remember several people who were interested in seeing a equipment video, so I will upload one in a couple of days as well. This is my first time making a video so any critiques or advice would be appreciated.

@wall: You should ask some GMs to see what they think about this, for example:

Here is a quote straight from the kMSt ver. 1.2.010 - Character Balancing & New Job Teaser patch notes. "Night Walker has other resistance ignore skills which make it too strong so some skills have been adjusted. However, removing jump cancelling would remove a unique combat pattern so that will remain unchanged." This is a known game mechanic by the developers of Maplestory and is in no way a glitch whatsoever. I know that you are only trying to help, and thank you for that but I am absolutely certain that I have not broken any rules by doing this. Here is the link to the actual patch notes itself: orangemushroom.net/2015/06/04/kmst-ver-1-2-010-character-balancing/

@wakeupsuper: If you don't see changing sticky keys config to gain an advantage... then i guess it's ok for you

@TomasAr: Who said he had sticky keys on? Many night walkers do this without using sticky keys and slight practice. Stop being salty.

With certain keyboards you're able to jump attack just fine without the use of sticky keys, and considering sticky keys is a function that every keyboard has and isn't a "program" I'm not sure how that applies. As for whether or not Jump Attacking was intended, I don't believe it was intended from the conception of the class but once players discovered it after the classes release it was kept as an alternative attacking method. If it was intended then it most likely would have been mentioned somewhere in the classes description or the skills description.
Regardless, Jump Attacking is not something that warrants any sort of punishment, it is not a hack nor a glitch, its a nuance of the skill that allows it to be used at a faster rate than normal when jumping at the same time.
OT: I never thought I'd see someone capping with all 3 shadow partners.... I only recently reached max dmg on my 2nd one ._.

I honestly don't think that jump attack being allowed can be debated, the developers clearly knows about it and allows it because its a unique feature to this class. Some people think that its unfair for night walkers to be able to jump attack but I think that is silly because each and every class has their own unique skills which makes them superior or inferior to other classes. But honestly I don't want to turn this into a debate of whether night walkers are over-powered or not since it has been done so many times already on this forum. I do agree that they are over-powered though as I mentioned in the description. Also yeah capping with the last 20% shadow was very difficult especially on cra bosses with such high defense, I only managed to do it around 3 months ago after tweaking my stats. Which is the main reason I made this video (my first ever video) so that I could record the height of a night walker's strength and remember it fondly after the nerfs which would probably reach gms in 7-8 months.

certain keyboards allow for jump attacking (most gaming ones)
why do you have a stick up your as about this?

Very nice! When you move to WH and start capping, compare the two

If NW's didn't have the jump attack mechanic then I honestly think it'd be pointless to make a NW.
