Confused about incident on the train
Will be afk for a bit.
On the commute home during the late hours (The time where there are much more seats than people) I decided to put my leg on the chair and use my backpack as a pillow. First, the train's seats are arranged so it has rows of two chairs in each column with an opening in the center so people can walk. People were not near me. Some guy then decides to walk up to me, wake me up and says, quote, "Don't Funing lie down, this isn't your Funing home or your Funing mama's couch." I mean come on, I wasn't hurting or bothering anyone. Why would he do this? I've done this plenty of times but this is the first time someone expressed rage and fury at me. Curious about people's opinions. I could be wrong for all I know.
Edit: Its not New York, I'm in a city that is much less crowded than that. Only two universities in that town, gotta commute to the next town for the good ones.
Edit: Something funny to watch on the side. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQRMvg5TAl8

You ever get the feeling you know replying will result in an argument? He was really angry since the first words and was gritting his teeth.
@HolyDragon: Well, yea it's okay to take up 2 seats when there's no one there but some people will just want to speak up cause it's still a bit rude. . . . I mean like, what if that guy wanted to sit there for a specific reason or something ;o
Yeah, that's where I can be in the wrong. I can't tell if the things I do are rude are not. I usually stick with, if its not hurting or bothering anyone, it is okay; which has been spot on until this happened. As for the chairs, they are perpendicular to the windows, so the only reason he might want to sit there is to sit by me while ignoring all the empty seats. I'd be creeped out if that was his motive.

some ppl hate kids
in NYC you can get a fine for taking up two seats...
my uncle was wearing a large jacket and the cop gave him a f-ing ticket because he was taking up more than 1 spot... seriously?
and maybe the guy was mad or he just didn't want you to make a habit. i've seen some people in the morning trains sleep horizontally on the seats. obviously that is very rude since the morning is very crowded. the guy probably didn't want you to be like them?
Grouchy man needs to express emotions. Don't mind him

No. Also, I didn't block his way, he decided to walk up to me.
Do your legs stick out into the aisle?
Aren't you taking 2 seats by laying down?
The empty times.
Aren't you taking 2 seats by laying down?
he was probably have a crappy day and wanted to use you as his scapegoat for anger
I thought so too but it was completely inappropriate, considering this guy was in his mid-twenties or so.
Start crying and tell him about all the bad things in your life until he apologizes
Is this in New York?
He was so jelly of yo' bed
he was probably havin a crappy day and wanted to use you as his scapegoat for anger
