A Simple and sort of Long Guide to Tips and Facts of Zero

Warrior Forum Talk about Warrior

DColdhearts Level 150 Scania Shade 4
I just decided to create a small guide for Zero, since people seem to be asking people about them. There's not going to be a skills list, as you can find that on the RED: Zero Update Notes Then again, you can also find most of the information on there as well, but oh well.

Zero's History (In a nutshell.)

Zero is the child of Rhinne, the Transcendence of Time. Born from her tears in an attempt to free her powers from the Black Mage, but things would not go as planned as the Black Mage figured out her plan. The child was split in two, Alpha a male and Beta a female, and imprisoned in the Mirror World.

Basic Information

Alpha and Beta are essentially two different characters: they both have separate HP and TF bars. When Alpha/Beta tag out (something that'll be explained later), their HP/TF bars will also be switched.

They also have two different main weapons. Alpha's main weapon is the Long Sword and Beta's the Heavy Sword. It's also should be noted Alpha's secondary weapon is is the Heavy weapon and Beta's secondary's is the Long Sword.

Class: Warrior (an important note on Zero's equipment. More on that later.)
Main Stat: Strength (STR)
Mobility: High
HP: Mid-level
Character Card: Zero's Character Card will increase EXP obtained be 4% on 110, 6% on 130, 8% on 160, and 10% on 200.
Link Skill: Reduces incoming damage by 15% and +10% PDR.

Another thing that should be noted is that Zero will start at level 100 in the Mirror World. However, they can only gain experience in the Mirror World, meaning that monsters and quests from the Maple World, Dream World (Future Cygnus) and Nova world will not give experience. You can only gain experience from the things mentioned above once you reach level 180 and have completed Chapter 8 of their story.

Information about Equipment, Potential and Scrolling

First thing - Alpha and Beta share the same equipment. This means that Zero can only equip unisex equipment (meaning that both male and female has to be able to equipment. You know, just in case you don't know.)

The way to scroll and cube the Long and Heavy Sword is quite unique. With scrolling, when you use a scroll and it succeeds, it'll affect both weapons. However, with potential-ing your weapon, it's a lot different. When you defeat a monster and/or complete a dungeon, you'll get something called Weapon Points, or WP. Instead of spending NX on Cubes from the Cash Shop to cube, you have to spend 100k mesos and 600 WP. there'll even be a chance to increase its rank!

Every ten levels, from level 100 to 170, you're given an option to upgrade your weapons to the higher level. When you do so, you're also given the option to transfer their potential and scrolls applied to them.

Alpha and Beta aren't allowed to unequip their weapons. To make up for this, there's a scroll called Lucky Item Scroll that allows the weapons to be included in the equipment set. These scrolls will not change the stats of the weapons but will instead count the weapons towards the set bonus of the scroll used. Cello, the quartermaster, in Zero's Temple sells Lucky Item Scrolls.

"But wait! What happens if the scrolls destroy my weapon?" Well, if this unfortunate event occurs, your weapon will reset back to its first form (at level 100) in a clean form - no scrolls, potentials or hidden potentials applied.

Tagging and Assisting

One of Zero's unique skills is Dual Combat. This skill is divided into two part - Tag and Assist. With the Tag system, you can switch between Alpha and Beta in by pressing the keys of one of the other's skills. Once they tag out, their HP/TF bars will switch, and the inactive's bars will recover.

The character that was tagged out will not disappear immediately, and for a short period of time, the Assist system will take place! For every skill that you use, the inactive Zero will use the corresponding skill as well, allowing you to do double attacks.

Add something about booming scrolls on their weapons, it seems to cause some confusion.

Sounds pretty good and it looks nice. Son, I would recommend that you write a guide on Zero.

Another tip would be to start boss runs while in Beta, then switch to Alpha, as you'd get some sword stacks on Beta's weapon ahead of time (since its 1 stack per skill landed on the enemy monster) because Alpha's got the obviously faster attack speed and gets multiple stacks within a short period of time.

Also don't constantly switch between Alpha and Beta, do so when the unused Zero's weapon stacks are low, so as to maximize damage dealt (more so in Beta form, as she's got all the heavy damage).

Do you need to purchase a lucky item scroll for both weapons? Or just one of them?
When you cube weapons, do both have the same potential? If they both have the same potential, do the potentials stack? (IE: Both weapons have 9% ATT for a total of 18% ATT)

actually, since when you switch, both alph and beta use their skills, i would suggest to try to always be in tag mode, as you basically get to use the skills twice.

Just added it.

Using the Lucky Scrolls and Cubing will apply to both weapons. Will Cubing, they'll have the same potential. The potential(s) will stack as well, as Alpha's secondary weapon is is the Heavy weapon and Beta's secondary's is the Long Sword.

Suggested that you modify the levels of weapon upgrade progression, because once you hit level 150, you don't get one at 160, but then a final one at 170.

EDIT: Also worth noting, the new potential tier introduced alongside Zero is for items above level 151, and to reap those benefits, it's optimal to wait until you get your level 170 sword upgrade before cubing for good potential.
