You realize that Steam doesn't have NES, SNES, GB, GBC, N64, GBA, NDS, GCN, Wii, 3DS, Wii U and eShop titles, right?

That's not even taking into consideration :
-You'd need a pretty powerful PC to run all of that.
-Not all of those games will be available on the PC, as eShop exclusive games are just that.
-Emulators are never a perfect replication. They have their flaws, bugs, etc.
-The time it takes for people to make those emulators.
-The time it takes for people to get the game files ripped and patched for anti-piracy.
-The gear you would need to play some of those games would be the same as just getting it for the Wii anyway.
It's really a much cheaper and more convenient route just to buy the dang console and play it as it is.

Sorry, I stopped lending people my games in the 9th grade, when they started damaging them or stealing them (I miss my original copy of Wind Waker ).

I don't even have nor want an XBox, so that's not an issue.
I mean... what can beat having NES games, SNES games, N64 games, Gamecube games, Wii games, Wii U games, eShop exclusive titles, and indie games all on one machine? The only other thing that comes close legally is the 3DS, that houses NES games, Gameboy games, Gameboy Color games, Gameboy Advance games, Nintendo DS games, Nintendo 3DS games, eShop games and indie games all on a single handheld.
Honestly, that's a gamer's heaven right there. It might not provide [i]everything[/i] that would suit someone's needs, but I'm sure it has something for everyone. You just have to find your game.
