6x = train to certain level goal then stop till events aare all over (like perm over i.e. tuesday evening) and then train on 1x again. drug effects are gone lol

I gree with this but at the same time I am dirt poor in this game, refuse to pay actual cash on this game, and have a 122 ds and evan, a 110 merc, a 94 dw, a 82 cannoneer and a 63 aran. I play all of these characters with I like because it keeps me interested, but the problem now lies that I have no motivation to level my 120+ characters because I am too poor to even afford the most basic mastery books. Sure I could get the levels, but without being able to put those points in it honestly feels like I would be wasting my time.

ESPECIALLY with what someone had said about 150+ characters: I see SO many of those random people who shout out: "HEY I JUST GOT FROM 1-160 in 2 hours LOLOLOL"

It's quite depressing to see a game I once OBSESSED over to have fallen into such a dysfunctional game-play style.

lol even when its 6x i dont wanna train. training is boring. i rely on storm growth potions and event quests that give 1% per finish <3

I got to 165 on mostly 1x training. That said, I got from 100-120, the hardest levels in 3rd job, in a few hours or so of solo grinding on a different character.

Yeah, exactly what happened with the original 3x. After it 2x was like hell and then back to 1x stopped me from leveling.
At least now the 6x caught me up with about 16 levels, and still one day left.

I always seem to miss the Exp events and end up just grinding on 1x o.o

Nobody will train with me when 6x is off anymore. -sigh-

the trick is to not play during 6x. better train slower then be tricked into paying real money

I didn't really play much on 6X... maybe 15 minutes... most of my training ends up being 1x

Pre-BB people actually had to play the game for a while before they reached a high level. The advantage of this is that people actually learned about Maplestory while they were training. During the recent 6x event anyone could have easily created a character and leveled it to 150+ without breaking a sweat and without being a "no-lifer". The game has simply become that easy. So now, when I see a 150+ character spamming "J>PQ for Zekum Pre-Quest" I simply chuckle and move on. It is what MS has become.

Yeah it does make it feel pointless. On x1, I was gaining about 3%/hr at lhc. On x6, I was gaining almost 60%/hr at sh.

After almost 3 weeks of 3x back in February, it was hard for me to get back to regular training on my noobs...then it came again and it's going to take forever for me to get used to 1x once again. lolool

Yeah, I feel disgust whenever I see "1x".
When 3x is over, I'm basically "2x? Eww, no thank you".

Exactly! It is a virtual drug that has been administered to the Maple community, in high and frequent doses.

Thus, causing addiction, not only to the game, but to the sheer fact of obtaining more EXP than normal.

6x EXP is like a drug... You cannot Maple without it now...
