Can we Duo empress for armor efficiently?
Would my friend and I be able to duo Empress Cygnus for the armor?
I'm a level 194 shad with 177k self buffed range with 30% boss and 50.5% PDR
He's a level 200 evan with about 120k range self buffed, 30% boss and (only) 30% pdr. (enough for cap with illusion i think)
When does cygnus summon the instructors?
Is there some notification when she's about to DR? or a special animation when she DR's?
If possible, how long would it take?
And how many equips does it drop if we're on 2x drop.
Any warnings also?
I read the cygnus guide on basil but it was unclear about certain things.
We'll also probably have wheels.

I think it's definitely possible
I doubt you'll have too much trouble damage-wise. For a lot of people, surviving is just as difficult. Should you bring enough wheels, I think you'll be fine. I hope you at least know the basics of Empress--there is a 30-second pot cooldown in the room, she can potential dispel, pig you, DR, etc. For the basics, [url=http://www.basilmarket.com/show/guide/424/0/Cygnus_Empress_PQ_Guide.html]a general guide is here[/url].
1. Empress summons two set of instructors. The first group of five are summoned individually and do not drop cards, nor equips. The second wave of knights are summoned altogether, usually at around when Empress is 50% HP, although there has been the rare occasion when she summoned at around 75% HP (Of the countless amount of runs I've been on though, that has only happened once).
2. Yes, there is a DR animation. It's kind of hard to explain but the animation looks like [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LEiKqwo1CM&feature]4:20 in this video[/url]. It's kind of like a weird blue wheel effect. It's usually easier to have someone crash Empress just to be safe, but attacking her during animations when she is not crashed is perfectly safe as well.
3. Honestly, I'm not too sure. Worth a try though Empress is one of those bosses that can always vary, depending on how often you die, how often she pigs you, how organized you are, etc. Until you familiarize yourself with Empress enough, your time will probably fluctuate. I recommend going with an experienced group a few times, if you have never Empress'd before.
4. Again, this varies. Usually on 2x, on average 3-5ish equips have dropped. Just a tip for when you go on group runs: put one or two of your strongest attackers on 2x drop, Spider Familiar, or 2x Easter buff drop, and have them solo the 2nd round of knights when they're at low HP for an increased drop rate. In your case, the both of you go on double drop.
Good luck, if you don't succeed the first time around, try again! I'm fairly certain you guys can do it with your ranges, it will just take practice
