Age from your perspective

What is in your opinion the age where you think that when you meet someone and then (s)he says her/his age and you're just standing there with your mouth wide open while thinking: ''(s)he's (so) old!''. It might as well happen that you encounter someone whom you wouldn't expect to be 'that old' while (s)he looks so young?

Perfect examples of this are:

My mom looks less than 18 years than what she actually is. My dad looks more than 8 years.

What is the poll about?

I only get that reaction if they tell me their age and it's more than a 6 year difference from what I thought them to be. Say I met someone and thought they were 25, and then they tell me they're really 33, I would get that surprised reaction simply because they're a lot older than I thought them to be. Or vise versa, if I assume someone to be 25 and they tell me they're only 18 I would be really surprised. I'm not saying people who are 33 are 'old' or people who are 18 are 'young', but it's all in relation to what your first impression is of that person.

Side note: isn't it crazy that Carly Rae Jepsen is older than Lady Gaga and Adele?
