WebLinks - A MMORPGS idea - SHORTENED

Stemed from my idea on how to solve the inflation problem with MapleStory and games in general.

Basis of game:

> Storyline - order vs. hackers, a company made to stop hackers, you start in that company.
> Money = power/damage is the main focus. Money is used when you are attacked while wearing armor and when you hit with weapons. Only the newbie weapon, the NetOrder Basic Antivirus uses NO links. Both armor and weapons are called "programs," and the currency is "links." This means natural outflow of money.
> All monsters/bosses are malware. A unique weapon will drop from every (or nearly every) monster, ensuring equipment combinations galore.
> There are no levels or EXP. There is one stat and one measure--processing power, which affects your defense and attack by 40% - 50% if you have equipment. The NetOrder Basic Antivirus does damage equal to your processing power. Quest requirements will be based off of your base processing power, when not enhanced by items or programs. Quests give you BASE processing power by reward. This ensures that all characters must go through the quests.
> The only drops from monsters are equips, usable items, and crafting items. This means no monster drop quests.
> All monsters will drop an exclusive equipment. This means unique weapons and unique effects, creating mix-and-match playstyles!
> Crafting equipment requires you obtain it by getting five equips of the type you want and breaking it down to create source code. Then, you can get the required items and create a stronger item of that type. This also applies to boss equips, which means that it will be extremely difficult to get the maximum DPM out of your character without killing and merching for boss equips.
> Extensions can also be created by obtaining the source code for it by getting 5 extensions from monster drops and breaking it down into source code. Some quests will involve enhancing the source code to create better extensions. Extensions enhance the programs, like scrolls, and 2 can be attached to programs at one time. You can take them off, but they're destroyed when they're taken off.
> Cosmetics can be either bought from a cash shop or also be monster drops. Can do things like put a glow on armor or a weapon. There is a third extension slot for cosmetics--a fourth can be bought?

The focus of the game will be:

- MONEY = POWER!
- UNIQUE DROPS FROM EVERY MONSTER!
- CRAFTING SYSTEM!
- GOOD GAMEPLAY

Also, it will be easier to develop content for because it will be 2d like MS, but more faster in terms of gameplay.

That's the thing--the story seems simple, but eventually, the game can be expanded to have a faction system, a guild system with an affiliation, there can be independent quests, people can switch sides, and a PvP system.

Also, as MapleStory is implementing PvP now, we could do PvP later, and seeing how EVERY EQUIP HAS A UNIQUE LOOK AND EFFECT, from an invisible effect to a 3 second invincibility, to a double shot, a two shot, a Gatling gun, a HUGE sword, a grenade, things can be used for PvP if the game is set up right.

Also, there the game can be expanded to have a three faction system---another "CRAZY" faction of uncontrollable malware and AI arise and fight against humanity.

So, like MapleStory, it will start out small, but it can be expanded.
