The potential stats are calculated using the type of item (ex. Shield, Weapon, Top, etc etc) so I highly doubt that issue would happen unless Nexon are incredibly derpy.

@aruto02: True, or we could flood Nexon's forums with complaints to apply the change and we could even try to get them to remove the secondary stat requirements that they forgot to remove in Tempest too

1. Shields for classes that have them will now have the ability to have weapon potential. i.e. potential specific to weapons, 12 +att
2. New secondary weapons for classes that currently do not possess a secondary weapon will have armor potential.
3. Despite having potential, all screenshots of the new secondary weapons have no slots.

I addressed that, too, I just randomly went on a tangent about secondary weapons. I don't think current shields will be able to be scrolled with weapon scrolls, but the question has never been proposed anywhere I've seen so I could be wrong. Shields will probably be better than secondary weapons for the most part, for the classes that have shields anyways.

The new secondary weapons don't have slots, but she talking about the current shields that will get "secondary weapon status" when the update comes. Cause the current shields have slots

No they dont count as weapon
the shield and magic arrows and cards all become reclassified as secondary
it will be a new category with probably its own set of scrolls and what not
they wont be considered under the weapon class
so your khanjar will be a secondary but not weapon

Well you can scroll Kataras with 1h scroll for att, like 50% pinks, so if that were possible on a shield... oh my poor D.Khan that I paid so much for

@marilanna: I want to know this too, it's either that or shield scrolls will become completely useless. I highly doubt it will though, cause DB's katara is a secondary wep and they require katara scrolls to upgrade

If shields are now secondary weapons, is it possible to scroll them with weapon scrolls? +5~9 attack per scroll is a drastic increase up from +3

Also one thing to note that I'm not sure of. Secondary weapons cannot get additional options, which are implemented in KMS later in unlimited. However, I think Kataras can still get them ;]
