Joining the ranks of a Hero
After a long hiatus of 1 1/2 years, I've decided to come back to Maplestory and start out with a new character. Out of reviewing them all, I feel that Heroes look the most fun to me. Without further ado, I have a few questions...
-How well do heroes do at bossing?
-Have their skills changed since Jump/Ascension?
-From what I remember I have 100m+, will this be able to fund a hero?
-Similar to above, what weapon choice would be most effective given my budget?

Very good at bossing.
Some changes.
Enough to pot and get mastery books at least. Make use of the events and try to make some money/equips.
A clean 2H Empress Axe might be affordable which would probably be your best option.
-Pretty awesome at bossing imo
-Yup.
-Right now, you should try getting the tempest set since 100m isn't much.
-Tempest sword is pretty okay, but there's a lot of 2h Heaven's Gates with like 15% str or something for less than 30m.
