? Lol how is your range so low? I had about 24% dex. With around a 4x-50k range fully buffed. At level 164. That was before the hyper skill that gives us a 80 atk boost or w.e. I dont count that buff in my range. I have a full emp set. Clearly you need to get one as well.

The % dex will benefit you the most when you hit 200 and you put all your availible ap into dex. Also, do note that damage range formulas are different for each job.

that is wrong, i have just as much dex as you (1600) and my range is 47k

Know that mercedes attack much faster than angelic busters. AB's are high but slow hitters. Mercs' IR for example hits 27.3 times per second. With 40k hit each time you deal about 1mil per second, easily comparable with your AB.

I most likely won't go much higher than I am now. It'll be too hefty for even the smallest increase. My Crusade Shoulders do me fine, and Tyrants will cost a boatload.

@ibrahim65432: No where did I say Mercedes are strong. I said to cosnider the points raised in my post when comparing damage with other classes.

Read my VERY first paragraph. It ALMOST connotes that Mercedes are not as OP as you think. I should however make it more clear that they rank very low in the DPM charts. But that's not what Mercedes is all about.

Simple maths show that in the same time that an AB casts celestial Roar a Mercedes can deal 1100% damage.

2.Compare the right skills.
RoI is NOT a mobbing skill. It is a single target skill. Compare with Trinity(for AB).

Exactly what @Broccoleh said. even a comparison between myself and him. He has a significantly higher range than me but when it comes to bossing, I appear to do more damage than him. Why? Boss%. He has <100% (don't know exactly) and I have >200%.

Highly off topic: sacrificed a fair bit for a Tyrant belt and shoe (before Marvels go and Tyrants start inflating and/or get hacked to oblivion o.o) and made a Dom. pendant. I am so prepared for the Empress Shoulders to make a complete change in my equips. Be prepared!

[Edit]Mercedes rank VERY LOW in the DPM charts, which means that if every monster was a stationary straw target dummy with X life, we'll be one of the slowest to kill them in comparison with other classes. I don't think I have weird range for my attack, everything seems normal to me. o.o
And no nerf or anything since my range stays the safe, unless I am not paying attention.

How does mobbing, 1v1 and stance relate to his range? .-.

Ignore defense, %TD, higher critical damage, higher levelled skills?

There are many ways they could do more damage than you.

32k buffed doesn't sound quite right, unless you mean the "bonus" is actually the attack you get from your rings and accessories. Which isn't good.

So it'd probably be a good idea to get some Empress equips - the attack from it may be better than whatever %dex equips you currently have, especially if they're scrolled.

I'm surprised you have a 32k range with that amount of % Dex :O btw 2k doesn't make much of a difference and it would be quite simple for them to have damage similar to yours.
