Paladin

I call out all 2 handed mace users. Do you agree with this?

I really wish they could give a paladin the option to go either one handed or two handed and give
each weapon type (Sword/Blunt weapon) its own animation. (I mean heros got a freaking animation
for axes and swords why not paladins?) And I mean with ''giving the option''
that there should be something that would benefit you from going 2 handed instead of losing out on:

- Guardian.
- 200% Defence.

And really... two handed blunt weapons are COMPLETELY obsolete now. (Well they've always been like that but still...)
I mean one handed BW's are used aswell by DemonSlayers now. So 2 handed bw's are by far the most useless weapons that excists.

The only class that actually CAN use a 2 handed bw is a Paladin but there is NO benefitfrom using one.
As like I mentioned above you'd lose on a great amount of def and a pretty usefull skill. Destroying the entire point of this class.
And BW's are known for being slower. They do give more base attack but you cant compare like what.. 3 att to 1 weapon speed.
Not to mention using a 2 handed bw looks ugly as hell. Come on... a stabbing SWORD animation while wacking your massive
blunt weapon around in every direction? Yeah no... Blast is not even that bad but still a little odd.

But oh well..
I'm using the 2 handed Empress mace nontheless.
I'll show em... I'm not giving up on my favorite weapon type in the game.
Even though i'm one of the weakests classes using the worst weapon possible.
I'm still enjoying it a lot. <3

And yeah I know my avatar is a DarkKnight and my pally looks like he's using a 1 handed
sword but i'm naked on the rankings when wearing my mace so this is what I really look like:

Inb4 a new class using two handed blunt weapons will be released.

I still dont quite get why they felt like removing the flame/lightning/ice/holy trails when you use the regular attack button.
Now there's nothing at all. Its a shame it looked pretty nice.

Eh.. sorry got overexcited.
And yesss a 100x yes. We should get some more holy atributes for our class.
Maybe cosmetic (Angel) wings even if they wouldnt do anything it'd still be really cool.

Funny thing is, sometimes when I walk around with my mace people scream.
OMG WATCH OUT FOR THE BANHAMMER!
So I proceed to use Heavens Hammer and then run away...

=/ I guess if someone is extremely funded they can overcome the 200% def and still have max damage. If you have si that can help overcome the speed difference. Then all u miss out is guardian lol.

Making Paladins 1h only makes a lot more sense then having 2h bw go unloved. The next best solution would be to put in a system the old way where you had to choose between weapon types in 2nd job. The thing I meant with handed maces arent for heros is that there are probably more games where this class exists and i'm fairly sure
they wouldnt give them two handed maces to use.

Making Paladins two handed is screwing over every 2 handed user atm. Maybe not many players but there still are a few left.
And I got to disagree here. the ''Everything about paladins screams 1h and 1h sword to be specific.'' this is PURELY because
either nexon was to lazy to implent anything for two handers (Especially maces) and this is probably the case. BUT. this was only
because of BigBang. And this was after years implented. Before big bang there was barely any harm in using two handed swords
or maces really. Lots of people used them for the way they looked or because they prefered the slightly higher attack.
For me its the looks + trade-mark for being a Paladin really.

And its true skills and animations don't lie. But does this mean before bigbang was here heros weren't meant to use two handed axes?
They didn't have an axe skill before but implented this later on aswell. And as you can see they gave them animations for axes aswell now.
So my point being: Why cant they do the same for Paladins? And that the only skill that really says 2h mace is Heaven's hammer is
EXACTLY my point of why they should give them animations for swords aswell. A mace is just a very common weapon among Paladins.
And this goes aswell for other games really.

And it's the same with giving paladins skills that only work with shields. If they can make a skill for using a shield. Why cant they make something
for wearing a two handed weapon? Or give us the 200% def without wearing a shield. Same goes for guardian. It would just be a huge shame
to take out an entire branch of pretty cool weapons just because they cant give us mace animations or make the skills work with or without a shield.

Haha no problem I figured you mixed them up. Glad there are more people who prefer maces over swords.
And EXACTLY my thought. I always imagined blast to be a mini elemental version of the mechanic attack where you slam
the ground with that huge hammer. Something around those lines. And ACB could instead of looking like a stabbing sword be something
like force coming from your mace because its so heavy. There are plenty of things they could do really.

Overall, based on other MMORPGs (WoW), paladins are seen using a mace. IMO Maces>Swords
Now they just need to add the slamming animation effect on the maces

I think you mean post-BB there are literally no paladins using 2handed maces.
Before big bang I've seen plenty because there were no skills you'd lose out on.
There was really no disadvantige besides maces being slower then swords. And that
didn't really stop people from using 2 handed maces back then.

If nexon suddenly decided to make Paladins just one handed, we'd be pretty much screwed over hard. And I really don't see a Hero using a two handed mace.
They were made for Paladins for obvious reasons.

I saw many WhiteKnights using two handed maces back then. But yeah.. I really don't get why paladins are the only
class who actually lose entire skills by using a weapon that can only be used by one class. Its just silly really.

Granted no one uses 2h BW, but I'm sure they'll poof a class out of thin air that does and ends up being overpowered.

I can hardly call it an option.
I mean paladins are the only class that lose out on a LOT using a weapon that the class was designed for isnt that just weird?
2 handed axes or 1 handed axes 1 handed swords or 2 handed swords. there's not a big difference because all skills can
still be used with either weapon. And even have different animations. This is not the case with 2 handed Bw's

Yeah actually it'd be nice if Guardian was reduced to 15 skill points and another was added like Retribution or something where at the sacrifice of Guardian's defense you get stupid amounts of damage when using a 2h. inb4 "y u no make hero then"

You do have the option to go 2-handed. You just lose all the benefits of having a shield, of which there are plenty.
I don't see how they could advantage 2h users.
