I wouldn't call it sadistic, I would call it joy and a sense of accomplishment.
Being at Lv 160s pre-Big Bang is a spectacular achievement and I only reached 105 pre-Big Bang. Kudos to you!
Nowadays, almost anything you do is too easy, so players won't feel accomplished, and eventually quit.

Ikr, all the years passed on, things changing, harden ship from past years to earn or obtain an item, it sucks how its so easy to get stuff now and not like back then. only if they had the same pain as we went through to leveling up or how hard it was to make money.
