The Ignored -- Cygnus Knights

So, I decided to make a Blaze Wiz for the blessing skill which I lack on my main.

Upon creation, I am surprised at how smooth it is to get into Ereve. You walk five or six maps to the left, talk to a couple of NPCs, and you're level six-seven already. Awsome!

Wrong.

This seemingly random thread is dedicated to the low level Cygnus Knights.
I've noticed that the Big Bang gave them the most difficult, actually, it would be best to say the most tedious, 1st Job Advancement and Quest line ever.

After the intro to the Cygnus Knights, you see the Empress and Neinheart, and they send you to do a series of training quests. Ok, so here you are, a level six Noblesse(?), with 100% speed, being asked to talk to an NPC. So where is this so called trainer? Most of us would know where he's at by memory, but the game actually doesn't tell you. I would Imagine that any new player would have a major "WUT" moment when they find that they have to travel across two ridiculously long horizontal maps to find your trainer. It's not that big of a deal, but the quests that follow sure are.

You're asked to kill monsters up until level ten. During each of these quests, you have to travel to a map that gets farther away every time as you finish quest by quest. After you get to level ten, you have to take the long walk back to Neinheart and the Empress. At which point you advance, and then have to return AGAIN to your trainer on the other side of Mordor.

Anyways, your lovable trainer offers you training sessions. YAY! Easy levels!

No, just no.
You have to take another ridiculous walk to another destination, where you have to kill 30 monsters, and then you have to return back with another long walk.
You thought it was over? Nope. You have to do this two more times

The end result is that you're level 12, at 0-10%~!
Woooo I can leave Cygnus Island now!

Wrong again. There's a major Cygnus quest line that starts at level 13. And the guy who takes you to Vic Island tells you to stay till Lv 13 so you can start that quest line.
Ok, so what to do?

Let's hunt!
No. The strongest monster you can kill on Ereve gives 12xp and it has a crappy spawn rate. Assuming you reach level 13, you are asked to walk back to the opposite side of the island so you can start your Vic Questlines.
-----

So now my conclusion:
The recent patch helped all the classes, but I've seen that I can make at least 2 level 15 characters with a complete pre-1st job/post 1st job instructor training, by the time I can get to lv13 with a cygnus and is capable of leaving Vic Island. At which point I'll be asked to start the real cygnus quest lines.

B-B Ignored Cygnus D:

Excited for this (:

Cygnus Knights are only really useful for the new blessing. I think +24 attack should be hard work, so I'm glad you find it fairly difficult. :o
Yes they give 24 w.atk BoF at lvl 120.... It's the only reason to make one. But honestly Cygnus Knights are the most awfully overpowered (little kid filled ) class that there is and it's more fair that they are harder to make because they are so strong with little to no funding almost immediately after they job advance to 2nd job.
umadbrah?

I made my Cygnus Knight when they came out and org-g-g-gasmed at Eckhart and Darkness.
But back then, they didn't have the cygnus knight chair available, so now I can't get one. THEY WERE IGNORED BACK THEN TOO.

This isn't an anti-CK thread D:!

This thread was dedicated to the hardships of the poor Cygnus Knights who were left in the stone ages that the Pre-BB era was D:
It's so hard to make a Cygnus when compared to the other classes. The poor little guys have to walk for like an hour from NPC to NPC just to get to level ten.
Where's the love here?

At level 120, Cygnus Knight's new Blessing of the Fairy skill, which will be renamed, will be max level 24. At that level, it adds 24 w.atk to your other characters.

So, get an explorer to level 200 for 20 w.atk or get a KoC to 120 for 24 w.atk. You decide.
