Acne is a huge huge bothersome for me and I just want to know has anyone seen a dermatologist or got recommended some brands that actually worked towards clearing their acne? Thanks!

Sorry, wouldn't know.. I very rarely ever get even 1 pimple and when I do, I just pop it and it eventually goes away.

I'm not a dermatologist, but there is a large variety of acne. Acne is a term for a group of skin related problems.

Usually the stuff you buy over the counter should be somewhat effective, if it isn't a dermatologist may give you Vit A derivatives (retinoids) to help with the problem. Sometimes they're associated with dry eye C:

I've been getting a couple of pimples lately cos of exams stress, binge eating and late nights. I find that Biotherme Homme T-pur anti oil cleanser works pretty well http://www.sasa.com/SasaWeb/eng/product/viewProductDetail.jspa?itemno=105870502001

There are actually many ways to minimise acne, what i try to do is:
1) drink lots of water
2) keep fringe clipped up when at home
3) regular face wash (2~3 times a day)
4) try not to touch face
5) drink tea
6) stay away from oily foods / spicy food / duck / goose
7) sleep early
8) morning shower

IIRC you should use a face wash with a low amount of salicylic acid ( <5%?). If your skin feels dry after using it, get into the habit of moisturizing immediately after, but only use a moisturizer that's non-comedogenic. Otherwise if you're like me and a lot of other people, you'll break out like sdfjsdgfds.

Drink green tea. The antioxidants can really help treat your acne.

Stay away from oily and spicy foods.

Well I have some drugs that will either clear me up or kill me. It's like, the only thing left for me to try.

wha she sed ^
I don't think this is supposed to be good for your skin, but since my T-zone gets oily super quickly..
I started washing my face like, 3 times a day with a clearasil face wash.

the clinique crap didn't work for me. Aaand.. I didn't know you could return their stuff, so I basically wasted $70 .
boohoo.
Ah, but my acne's gone. c:
I always wash my face right away when I get home from school (usually I put on sunscreen in the morning before I leave the house, and by the end of the day.. my face is oily).
sux.

medication won't help if you aren't going to stop it from the source.

watch what you're eating, especially sugary and spicy foodz.

Dermatologists usually help a lot.

You'll get some antibiotics and a combo of creams.
BP is actually really bad for your skin. But at the peak point when you first get it you can dab it on a pimple and it will literally die overnight--that's how powerful that thing is. People shouldn't be washing or slathering their face with it. Causes premature wrinkles + really dry skin.
Low (2.5%) BP is fine, adverse affects tend to happen when dealing with the 10% mixtures without consulting a doctor.

My doctor told me it was fine to use it daily! Maybe it depends on how much is inside my acne mixture...

Most remedies use Benzoyl peroxide as the active ingredient, but people expect it to be some miracle cure, instead you should only start seeing changes after about 6 weeks.

The simplest way is to wash your face regularly. Like when you go out for a day in the city, a workout, etc.
And don't aggravate your skin by scrubbing it dry with a towel, a light patting will do and keep some moisture on your skin.

Contrary to popular belief, very dry skin can cause just as much acne as oily skin.

Tea Tree Oil works pretty well for reducing the worst and biggest outbreaks. and so does Sudocrem.

Drinking water also helps. I also recommend getting a daily face wash, its working very well for me.

I use Clinque its 60 dollars for the 3 package deal, I bought it in the mall it works really well and even if it doesn't work they always let you return it. Also, it comes with a foam wash, liquid lotion cream, and a cream as the final thing to apply. Took about a few days for it to start working but only a week for my acne to clear.
