Date to dance wants to pay herself
We are going as friends. It is ~$20/person. I am going through no financial difficulties and am capable paying because ethically, to me, it seems like the right and gentleman like thing to do because I did ask her to the dance. She gave me money back even when I already payed and won't take it back. It just found its way into my hands. How should I go about giving it back? Or what should I do? do not see me keeping the money as an option. Thanks.
I know; you might be thinking I am spoiled for this debate over money or seeing females as inferior, but I don't want it to be like that at all.

She doesn't want you to feel like it's a date, friendzoned majorly.
Look, women know where they stand in this world now and they don't need our handouts no more.
If it were me, I'd smile, drop a small compliment on her class, and proceed to sing Miss Independent by Ne-Yo (the remix with Jamie Foxx and Fabolous though).
Just say "Hey don't worry about it, it's my treat" then smile and politely hand her the money back.
Give her money back.
I see no problem with this. Go spend it on some flowers and a pack of condoms.
