Is she trying to scam me?

So i'm selling my ps3 in craiglist and this woman says she'll buy it.
"Please to be informed that i will pay you with a certified bank check
and once you have the check cashed at your bank then i will arrange
for the pick up at your place.."
She asked for my name/apartmenet/home phone. Now, of course i'd had given her those anyways since in my adv i said pick up only. The thing is i'm not familiar with checks at all. So i won't know if its real/fake. Or if she can like get the money back somehow or something. If she was coming over to give it to me in cash then there'd be no problems- i've done this already a few times before however its a check this time. Yes my parents will be at home if she decides to come over. Then she said:
"Pls note that the payment would be overnight sent to you via UPS/FedEx
or USPS,..i really need this item and i will appreciates you if you
can help me to save item till the payment arrives as it will save me
some extra cost.. and my shipper will come as soon as you have the
check cashed in hand,"
idk sounds a bit sketchy to me... thoughts?

Don't do it. If I can remember correctly my uncle wasn't too fond with the payment methods and he bought a Toyota Tacoma (4x4 van) and something with money transfers or a cheque, he trusted her but eventually ended up getting ripped a couple grand. The police couldn't do anything about it. People these days...

That does sound really sketchy, I'd tell her to withdraw some money from her bank account and just pay you in cash.
