What are Students like Today?

You've all heard it before: Our generation is apparently the laziest and less beneficial, but is it really?

To those with a short attention span, don't worry, it's not a long video; rather interesting, actually.

Many students are lazy but the motivated students today are more motivated than before too. The gap probably got wider.

@WhooyaMS: Your parents are right. I don't think i'll start my career job until my late 20s or early 30s but it's worth it.
Oh wow, I remember watching this vid a longgg time ago. O:

With all the new technology we're bound to become lazy, but we now also have a wider variety of things to study, which people debate whether or not are beneficial. It bugs me that elementary schools and high schools are getting better technology. Instead of writing down notes people type them, and instead of using textbooks they just use the projector. I wish public schools could improve so students can get a better education before entering college.
That doesn't sound too bad actually.
The world is becoming more and more technologically based, so best to keep up.
Of course, they still need to know the basics of writing and reading.
The next generation will be worse than ours. With just a few years between me and some of my friends, you can see a dramatic decrease in basic English skills. There are tenth graders who are in AP Classes that can't formulate a basic thesis or write in complex sentences. Sadly it's not just English we're talking about... geography is just... -facedesk- How can you NOT know where the Atlantic Ocean is?
I agree. The next generation just seems more intellectually challenged.
Interesting video but it strays away from the main point. It's supposed to be about students, then it moves onto world issues like poverty and racism. What is the relevance?
What? That was like 15 seconds worth of the entire video. Most of the video was on topic.

Interesting video but it strays away from the main point. It's supposed to be about students, then it moves onto world issues like poverty and racism. What is the relevance? What do my western classmates and our Macbooks have to do with what people across the world are making? Not to disregard the issue, but it's just irrelevant.

I haven't been called lazy since I stepped foot into university. Five classes and 20 hour work weeks. yikes

I actually think this generation is the most open-minded and intelligent. However, because of this, we take advantage of it and make bad decisions. We live in a world where common sense ain't so common.
Video game me a headache, the camera man is not that sugoi at his job!

And I don't think our generation is the laziest at all! Just because things are made easier for us doesn't mean we don't put in any effort. If people really want to call us lazy, then they can go back to the B.C centuries. ^O^ I love the internet because I can use basil and talk with people that are very kawaii and sugoi!

^___________^
Why do you try so hard to add "sugoi" and "kawaii" into your sentences?
It's sad that some students don't care to learn in college. You paid a lot of money for this, and you're just wasting time on leisure. I wouldn't be surprised when this happens at a free public school, but college-really?
I think it's because it's not really their money, so they spend it so generously. Financial aid, scholarships, parents, that sort of stuff.
Kind of sad, ain't it?
