I was calling my father a cheapskate in comparison to kids with parents who have similar incomes to my dad. Everyone saying they didn't get an allowance and I'm being out of line, you guys can't compare yourselves to me because you're in a different situation.

You guys shouldn't post until you've adequately thought about it before hand. This thread is a prime example of how kids like you guys take small, insignificant things and send them veering off in the wrong directions, trying to create flame wars and online fights. I'm closing this thread before it goes any farther.

OT: Getting a job isn't an option because I live in a country where teenagers can't get jobs.

Be grateful you get any allowance in the first place. I never got any and I don't think kids should. You want money? go get a job.
Even as a fourth grader I found a way to make money. Though selling burnt games is probably not the most legal or steady of jobs.

I have to say use $20 at the most. Maybe $25. I don't know what the NX cards go up to. Save the rest of your money in case of emergency and your parents aren't around. You never know what you may need.

15 dollars a month is bad? I never get any allowance when I was a kid.
Anyway, if you ask me, I wouldn't spend a single dollar on it (I wouldn't be spending DOLLARS anyway but that's not my point :B), but if you want to, use $10. Beyond that, IMHO, is too much.

@pifffy: I won't be moneyless, I'll mostly just be missing out on junk food (like twinkies, hohos, etc.) My parents give me money for when I go out with friends, and otherwise everything else they buy for me.

@ImALowStr: I was talking about the 20% off permanent NX event. I want to get a chance to buy some before it goes away forever, and I also want to use some on Black Friday because everything is going to be so cheap.
