Port Forwarding help through multiple devices

I recently received a new modem/router from frontier and I want to enable security on it. However when I do, enable medium security, Maplestory is completetely blocked. I've tried many methods of port forwarding, but none have seemed to work. It's a new device that has been recently distributed to Frontier customers. Any help would be welcomed.

Network setup: Phone line>>>Modem>>>Wireless router>>> PC

PS:The router was here before the modem. I don't really want to get rid of it.

Try this- can you plug your computer directly into the new modem and run Maplestory OK..?

If so, then do this: Open the settings page for the WIRELESS router.
Find the settings for DHCP server, usually in the "Local Network" or "LAN" settings. Turn the DHCP server OFF. (Disable).
There may also be a DHCP server setting on the Wireless pages, if so disable that too.

Now take the cable from the Frontier modem out of the "WAN" (or Internet) socket on the wireless router and plug it into one of the "LAN" sockets.

What this does is to completely bypass the router section of the Wireless device and uses it only as a "Wireless Access Point" to broadcast the signal from the modem out to your wireless devices. It avoids the necessity of trying to get the signal through TWO routers, which is usually an exercise in frustration.

If you can't play Maplestory when the computer is plugged into JUST the new modem, then there may be Firewall settings in that device that need to be set.
Maplestory should not need any ports set up for it, but the firewall may be set to too high a security level for games to work properly.

If you still have trouble, post the BRAND NAME and MODEL NUMBERS of both the Modem and the Wireless router.

Do i need to set up port forwarding for both the wireless router and the modem or will i just need to do it for the modem?
