Making an Ice/Lightning Mage?

So I've become addicted to the Mages(after making an F/P, Luminous, and Bishop), I wanted to complete the Mage explorer trio. So should I make an I/L? I wanna know the full details on what the good and the bads about this class are(I really don't like the Hyper Skills as much as F/P or Bishop though). Any suggestions for an unfunded I/L(I'm making mine in Kradia for a friend)?

I/L mages are the best class ever. It was my first class I ever made in Maple Story, and my first level 200 class. I only played Luminous because of their rip-off OP version of Chain Lightning. Chain Lighting is a very good mobbing skill. You mix it with glacial chain for awesome DoT dmg while training! The character card bonus is good if you plan on making anymore mages (which was good for me!) It used to be one of the best classes before all these OP revamps and new classes came out. The hyper skills for it are also pretty decent (so i've read) ! GO FOR IT

They are extremely fun.
Considering I was #3 to 200 in my server as a lumi
I didn't think I was going to last past 120 on my I/L, but once I made one, It was pretty darn shocking that i didn't get bored or upset with it.
Plus the card bonus is pretty nice so I suggest you give it a try.
LOL, at what point? Mages were pretty much all equal in awesomeness back before Big Bang
More in the lines of Pre 4th job, I/L wizards were superior to F/Ps as F/Ps lacked a mobbing attack for 40 long, painful levels (30-70) and also had an extremely linear attack. Not to mention tons of I/Ls relished in their ability to freeze things which made training a breeze and were popular with hunting for Steelys at Red Drakes. Not to mention even in 3rd job, early F/Ps finally got a mobbing attack, but it's range was extreme short if it wasn't maxed out and had a slow cast rate without and evil wings staff/pyogo mushroom (and to this day it's still like that)
Its not really spammable due to the delay,

The hyper i/l mage videos I've seen use GC > CL > GC > CL and repeat.
I know, but it's still a lot better than using 10 cl's in between and still have the cooldown message when you try to use it..

Make one. All you need to know is that I/L's are good.

What are you talking about? Lightning sphere is more fun to use than meggido flame or heaven's door any day. Also, spammable glacial chain YES.
