how to remove signature from a debit card?

So basically I signed my name on the back of my new card (new to banking), and now my mom is angry about it because it reveals my name. All i have to do is keep it dafe but she is hella pised and hitting me once in a while.

thats actually pretty rare to have happen. I never ID or care if the person signs their cards. if youre dumb enough to lose it then you deserve what happens to you

When would you ever have to forge someone's signature to make a fraudulent transaction in 2014

if someone has your card, they can make a purchase without your signature or even your PIN

Rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. If that doesn't work nail polish remover and a cotton ball.

I put 'please see id' on the back instead of signing it.

Only about 1 out of 5 cashiers actually check my ID though.
Honestly signature does not matter, as already stated in this thread. Your mom's paranoid.

signatures aren't even relevant anymore. most credit card companies just track what you buy and where and not your signature (since the way credit card transactions are processed have changed)

@UAPaladin: You don't have to. If it's unsigned, most cashiers will just ask for an id.

If you don't sign the card then people don't have to copy your signature. They will just make it up however they want to. Make's it easier to use your card if it gets stolen. Your mom is not a smart person.

It's gonna look hella sketchy if you try erasing the sig. Get a new card. o.o

Or... tell your mum a cashier refused to process a transaction without your signature on the card..
Uhh.... You're supposed to sign your name anyway lol.

Plus your name is on the front of the card
TD Canada Trust doesn't have the user's name on the card.

But yeah OP, you're supposed to sign it anyways lol

well first call CPS because her hitting you like that is abuse and second just call the bank and tell them that you lost the card so that they will issue you another one.
