Sudden beep and system errors

GRAMMAR NAZIS ARE NOT ALLOWED!
Yesterday,I was sitting next to my older brother.. We were watching a video on YouTube on his laptop then he paused it and closed the screen(took it down) so the laptop will sleep and we will go eat dinner.
After like 0.1 second of closing the screen the laptop beeped an extremely high beep that did not stop but he didn't have the time to turn off the laptop because the beep was extremely high so he took out the battery quickly and unplugged the laptop so the sound stopped..........
I ate dinner and went to sleep...
The next day my brother told me that his laptop takes like 10 minutes to start up now and he has to run start up repair every-time he starts up... Every twenty minutes a pop up appears(named [something].dll) and it says that it could not handle or whatever....A network attack happened a few days ago and my laptop blocked it and my sister's laptop and my uncle's laptop too but my brother's laptop did not have the software that protects him.....
He downloaded "Panda Internet Security 2012" to stop the problem he has but I never heard of this software so I am afraid that it is a fake anti-virus that is just like "Spy-Sheriff",is it? How to stop the problem he is having?

Panda Internet Security is legit, as long as he got it directly from them.
The incident involving your computer and Kaspersky the other day wouldn't have anything to do with this either.

It sounds like the way the computer was shut off (pulling the power instead of a normal shutdown) may have damaged the files on the hard drive.
Normally startup repair should be able to fix that, but it may be more damaged than even that can handle.

Unfortunately, something.dll and whatever aren't very helpful in determining exactly what's wrong.
They put those messages on the screen to tell what the problem is.
