I'm going to tell you what happened to me two days ago. (Sorry that it's not completely related, but it just goes to show how bad some of the community is)
So I had met this guy at LHC, and I had gotten him into my leech party. He was really nice, and he thanked me for getting me into the party. I told him no problem, and offered to give him an NX cape that I didn't need. He said no, it's fine, seeing as how it expires. I insisted, but still, he said no. Later that day, I decided to give it to the party leader (the one leeching us) in order to show my gratitude. The next day, the guy that I offered the item to trades me and asks me for the item. I told him that I had already given it away, and he started giving me attitude, saying things like "wow =_= real nice". He then left the channel I was in. I had him added, so I told him over buddy chat, "Sorry that I didn't give you it, but it's a whole day later. Besides, you said you didn't want it. Therefore, there's no reason you should be giving me an attitude. If you want, I'll give you another item when I buy more -" and before I could get that last part out, he said "lol shut up geek" out of nowhere. I was shocked at how angry he was over not getting something for free. I told him he was ungrateful, and should grow up. I also proceeded to tell him just because I can afford NX (I have a well-paying job) doesn't make me a geek. Besides, geek? Really? I'm not in highschool, and that's the only place the term "geek" is really said.
Buuuut yeah. It just goes to show that people on Maplestory get upset over the smallest things. In your case, the guy shouldn't have left at all. [b]It's the Free Market.[/b] How do you expect for your spot not to be taken?

Seriously! I hate the people who stand right on top of you as you're setting prices and try to take the spot. Then they rage to me about how I'm such a heartless person and they are in desperate need of this spot. It's just a spot dude...

This one guy was mad about me taking a spot so he decided to buy everything of mine out to open up the spot. But I always keep this item for max mesos to prevent this so he wasted a bunch of money for nothing.

Shopbots. Those are the worst. So much more annoying than ANY rude idiot complaining about their spot, these guys will camp out underneath your spot until you log off. -_-

Ikr, people in Windia are insane for certain spots, like a couple of months ago I got a spot in ch1 fm2 then a bunch of people threatened to hack me & then they started cussing me out.

Totally agree.. I noticed more and more kids are jerks... like I'd be hunting at a map in Alien for like good 2~3 hours and this KSer would come and if I ask them politely to CC they be like Shut the beep up and KS *shakes my head* Kids these days are just needing the good ole' fashion discipline not the old wimp stuff...

I understand your case is different since the person left the spot entirely, but I always give the courtesy of asking the individual whether or not they're actually done with the spot.

The whole convention of trying to go over another character to try sniping strikes me as another level of social retardation on this game. I don't even want the thanks I often get for it - it should be common practice.[/quote]

i wish people were like that,but people are freaking out from anything small even if it is to take 1 kill at a map while walking to cc,and since the free mushys expired FM spots are easy to find now in Gazed yet still he freaks out about a spot in fm 6 (while in fm 10 right now there are like 5 free spots and most people are not so lazy to not go untill fm 10)
