Lenavo ideapad Y500 or alienware m14x

Is the ideapad Y500 a durable machine? I need a gaming laptop, and im debating between this and the alienware m14x, of course the ideapad is a lot cheaper; alienware is very durable from what i hear, is the ideapad a better choice than the m14x? If you know the game league of legends, do you think the Y500 could run that in all very high settings with high fps?(over 50 or so) Thanks a bunch

Durability is between the two is mostly the same. There are other more minor differences you may or may not have noticed. The M14x has a multi-color backlit keyboard. Likewise, the Y500's screen has a much higher resolution. etc.

You're looking at the most expensive listed M14x configuration. That one makes no sense to buy because the extra cost is going to components that don't directly benefit gaming performance. However, the M14x configuration most similar to the Y500 you are looking at is still 1.5 times more expensive.
The mousepad doesn't suck imo. I don't know it's my first laptop so I don't have anything to compare it too but it works and does what it needs to do some I'm happy with it.
Such comparisons come from people who use or have used laptops with extremely good trackpads such as the Macbook Pros and use a poor choice of words to compare. A fair comparison of such trackpads is not that one is good and one is bad, but instead that one is good and the other is better and therefore neither are bad.

I'm currently using a Ideapad Y580 and had no problems of it so far. I received it in August. It preforms extremely well and the it's really quiet when I'm not gaming.
