Has it really come to this?

So I thought I would try out the ghost pirate mob in ludi and so I go to the map and notice there was someone below me killing there so I explored a little and then took the hidden street portal on the right. Suddenly the girl come into that map and goes "ch taken ^_~" and KS the crap out of me. I was like wtf, but I give it to her b/c I realized I missed to much to kill that mob efficiently. So I go back to teh ghost pirate map and start killing there. It was better b/c it was a lower lv that the green ones. But I realized they were ice strong so I stopped killing for a few seconds to put my ele resest on my keyboard. Then suddenly a guy comes in and says leave this ch is taken. I was like sorry but I was here first I would appreciate if you would either change you channel or take half the map. Then he goes "(something rude that basil won't let me type it has to do with doing something naughty with a boy's toy) please" and continues to KS me. Really has MS come down to this? I thought people had courtesy but I guess I have mistaken.
