So what's it like being a Buccaneer?
Hello fellow pirates, I am currently a lvl 78 Marauder. I love pirates. =3 I think they are one of the most enjoyable classes in Maple. Lately I've been having doubts about if I'm going to enjoy playing as a buccaneer, and I'm thinking of making a shadower (not bcuz of dmg, but because they are versitile. I do not want to spam one skill throughout fourth job). The reason being is that people are saying that buccaneers spam dragon strike very often. What happened to all the enrgy attacks? Are those still used in fourth job?
I really don't want to give up on pirates. But if I worked hard to geT to fourth job, and my reward is a new skill that is most useful being spammed, then I don't think it's worth it.
I am looking for words of motivation from my fellow marauders, buccaneers
Please excuse any spelling mistakes, I am using my iPod touch and It is extremely hard to type on it with my big fingers.
Any form of help/motivation is appreciated. =)

Everything you said is pretty much true. Im so happy to be a marauder! Im lvl 97 and I heard once you hit 100, its sooo slow. And by the way, you have awesome hair! xD

its so slow..
the only thing motivating me now after bigfoot was basically killed is dragons..*-*

Ofcourse if you factor in new equips, it's gonna be a lot higher than just 2-3. Equips wouldn't be the class itself getting stronger.
I'm talking about just through the skill changes alone.

not for me i can kill monsters around my level in 2-4 hits unlike before i needed 6-8.
it maybe because i used to have terrible equips that arent even decently scrolled compared to what i have now(decent but still not that good) but i think they vipers still got stronger. but they did nerf our old strongest 2nd job skill: double uppercut to 215%
Lmfao thx everyone, I'm so glad that the bucc community hasn't been poluted with immature people like the other classes have.
Alot of Shads just spam BStep so they're usually quite repetative too. And most of the time Buccs use energy skills in early 4th job. And you don't need to spam DS. I'm gonna train the old way. Drain is a good 1v1 skill. We're like a mix of Heros and Shads. We have quite alot of HP and are also quite versatile. We have iframes, stance, pg, skills that hit low damage per hit but hits multiple times, and skills that hit once but very high. We're a hybrid class....Shhhhhhhhh.
@Cube We're self healers.
Oh, and Buccs are the best class EVER. And forever will be. One reason is because millions of people say it's the worst class but we still strive to become stronger.

2-3 times stronger than before patch.
For me, 2.7x
Well, the increase can be an illusion; since all the monsters have gotten stronger along with your damage, it'll normally take about the same amount of hits to kill the same monster before and after patch.
Although I guess it's a benefit when bossing since most bosses either got nerfed or stayed the same, so you'd do better there.

I too have a habit of quitting chars at lvl 50. x)
So far I'm hitting max 15k with lvl 1 energy ball. Is that normal? =S
I had a Level 130 Night Lord, and I got bored and quit him. I had a habit to quit characters once they hit 50, and when I played a Brawler, I knew I wouldn't dislike him. I was right, Currently a 110 Marauder and I'm enjoying the life. Hitting 30-35K Energy Blasts and 20-25K back Spin Blows, pretty good.
Brawlers were undesired before BB
Post BB the powned because of all the high numbers we see
Now I made it to Maurader which is my first 3rd jobber and at level 86 I love it. The highest hit I have seen is 22k and blast is at 10
Plus I love scaring noobs with transform
Buccs are hella fun man
I love using dragon strike, it's such a cool skill
And demolition is just pure awesomeness.

Bucc is still good i don't use energy blast but i do use drain to heal myself.Back spin blow is a very good skill and should be used often in training if you want to save pots. Now DS right now is are best Mobbing move and no one can deny it, its not like spamming Genesis before big bang. Yesterday i was soloing zak i used a gelt+ super transformation which stacks i'm not the godliest bucc but i almost had 20k range i was breezing through zak arms and first body unfornately i had to drop out after the gelt cuz i was not dealing enough damage. Also we are getting buffed again during the reorganization patch. Im proud to be a bucc its the only character ive made over 120 and i suggest you stick with it because if not your just one of those people that joined the bandwagon
