Has anyone noticed the amount of puns in Pokemon Gen. 1?

Seriously, re-watching the series, I found it to be extremely amusing and hilarious. The use of puns is [b]titanic[/b] (okay sorry).
Anyways, has anyone seriously noticed the amount of puns?
