Wait why is SE gloves so important? Also HTP help.

So I want to buy a good pendent, my friend suggested a horntail pendent
Well I basically have 1.3b now (goes up and down a lot).
How much of it should I spend on a HTP or CHTP, what type of stats should I look for (along with prices).
I don't want to spend all of my money on 1 item, but I will if It helps THAT much.

Also why is SE gloves so important? I can kill Chief Oblivion Guards just fine (takes about 0.66-1 combo stroke a guard) with a 10 attack wg. And when I'm bossing there's always SE. Why is it so important?
I do just fine WITHOUT decent SE, and at bosses I'll always have SE, so I was wondering why I needed it.
I may need it for Van Leon Castle when it comes out, but I'd prob be in a party most of the time :o
Is this just a luxury item for solo Arans?
Think it this way: Would you agree that the more power you have the faster the training gets right? (more kills/second = higher exp per hour)
That's basically what SE gloves is gonna make, it's not gonna raise that much but it will help you kill faster x_x

The extra crit rate is nice but idk whether it's better than cubing for stat%'s and damage%'s.

SE boosts crit rates, meaning classes already with passive crit benefit from it nicely. ie. Aran's and NL's.
