Compare these two builds

Let me start by saying I know some of the parts are not specific, but I just want to know in general which one is better.

AMD Radeon 6870 Video Card = $160
Compatible Motherboard = $70
AMD Phenom II Quad Core CPU = $70
8gb RAM = $50
1.2TB Hard Drives (Dual 640GB in raid) = $100
500W Power Supply = $50
DVD Burner = $20
PC Case = $80
Windows 7 Professional = $50

OR

Nvidia GTX 470 Video Card = $140
Intel Compatible Motherboard = $70
Intel Quad Core CPU = $70
8gb RAM = $50
1 TB Hard Drive = $85
60 GB SSD Hard Drive = $60
500W Power Supply = $50
DVD Burner = $20
PC Case = $55
Windows 7 Professional = $50

Thanks for the help!

SSD's are so cheap now e__________e. Last time I went shopping for them, it was like $2 a GB.

@TS: Depends on the exact model of your Intel Core. It's too vague.

And they're both pretty much the same. I don't think the difference between them would be noticeable.[/quote]

It's really part specific when choosing between the two. We'd really need the parts.

The missing details are a problem here, particularly with the Intel build. It is impossible to fairly determine which of the two is better.
