My Wild Hunter Experience

The following is a passage from my experience of creating a Wild Hunter in a new world and training it till 30. It is meant to give a general idea to new players or ones that lack sufficient funding. All forms of criticism are welcome.

I'll start off by stating my overall opinion on the Wild Hunter. In the four hours that I trained, I've had mixed feelings on their playability. The Jaguar is an added bonus and is helpful, but I've found that I can't attack close-range; if a monster is beside me, oddly I can't seem to hit it. Only when I move back or am from a distance where things get easier. Their skills are perfectly in order; I like how Booster is given early on, as are Jaguar benefits like Double Jump. Even with all this, their damage is something that concerns me. Their range is small (I suppose their critical rate compensates for that) and my damage was minimum (I hit around 150 - 750) In conclusion, my thoughts are mixed. In a way I enjoyed my experience but in the same sense it seemed to lack something- something that I can't seem to explain. All comments are appreciated and thank you for reading.

in 2nd job your jaguar can attack, so that close-range missing business is no longer a problem
I think the reason why we can't attack from close range is because the jaguar acts like a platform for us. We're higher up which means our arrows can't travel at steep angles to hit monsters in front. However, if you crouch/duck you can hit monsters in front of you. Also, it seems a bit irksome to run past a monster while shooting arrows and having to turn around and run back.
My thoughts exactly. I'm glad we can relate.
