I think i'm falling head over heels for her.

Yeah, yeah, some of you may remember my other thread including "Badminton being a manly sport."
Today, i saw her again for a very brief moment with her friends.
I think i'm actually falling for her.
Yesterday, i found out that the "model" in her Facebook picture was actually her.
Tricked a few of my basil buddies as well. *Cough* You know who you are. *Cough*
The only thought that crossed my head after finding out, was "Amazing."

I can't stop thinking about her; well i can, but you get the point.
Now, if your wondering why i made this thread, basically to get my emotions out and some for advice from some of you ladies' men here on basil.
(If there are any, that is.)
We are friends, but not really close / good friends yet. I want that to change.
I don't want to break the ice, i want to melt it.
I notice she's very shy around most people, around me, she's shy but definitely not as shy.

That's where your advice comes in.
I'm not really that good around shy girls...
I'll start seeing her at least 3 times a week for Badminton when it starts up in January (Early, like the first week of January? Dunno.)
What can i do for us to become closer?

Yeah. I have emotions.

When she is most exploited during sports, touch her butt.
"On Accident." IS what you say.
50/50 chance this works. She may blush, lick her lips, play with her hair IF she took the butt touching accordingly. (In other words, she liked your hand there.)

I am being serious here, I "Accidently" touched a girls butt during sports, I caught all the signs, and a week later, she asked me out. (Didn't even know her, she was just pretty.) THOUGH once I got to know her, she was an awful person. *Shudders.*

Good luck Pepsi.

Yeah, you're set. People open up better when they're doing active sports.

Well first of all, when you finish playing, compliment her. Don't take it too fast and call her cute straight away but tell her she's really good and that you enjoyed playing with her. Also, don't get frustrated if she loses and points and use positive reinforcement. Don't use TOO much positive reinforcement though or else you'll look like a Kindergarten teacher.

Also, if you both win a big point or she hits a nice shot, let her know. Maybe a touch on the shoulder when you tell her (and make it light). I know this sounds corny but ANY means of known physical contact gives feelings of warmth and kindness. It really works. Again, you said melt the ice, not break it so this is not if you want to move fast. And especially with a shy girl, if you let her know that you really have a good time with her in your first few practices, she'll be drawn to you for the rest of the badminton season.

Here's a slight downside with taking it slow: if she's not the type of girl you think, you might end up in the friendzone. So make sure that if she starts regarding you as a closer friend (like she starts coming and talking to you between breaks), continue to communicate with her. Don't follow her around, but make sure you communicate enough with her so that you don't break anything that is building up. Remember, she may START liking you. That doesn't mean she's hooked on you yet so you need to build up the relationship.
This is great advice. Thanks a lot.
I don't really need to progress quickly, i'd just like to be closer friends with her or something along those lines.

Oh mang, you set. Slap her on the butt with your badminton racket, when she makes a nice play. I doubt she'll be shy after that.

OT: Act naturally. Don't show too much interest, but don't show no interest (that should be obvious).
