General

Darkknight

What is a Dark Knight?

What aspects make up a DrK for you? Is it the high HP? The drain? The dragons? The darkness? The spears?

Just trying to see how un/original this job is.

@iVege: I don't even know why I mentioned that, I knew that the skills changed color. Perhaps what I meant to say was I wish they used them more often. I'm no DK expert, but from what I've read on the forums Crusher is only used to heal during potion lock bosses or something. I dislike Dark Impale , I don't know why. Perhaps a different color scheme would work for me.
Crusher and Fury. I would main a DK now if we didn't get derp impale, but rather a buff to our previous skills with a color change.
We already have colour change to our previous skills o.o

Apparently not having 4th job attacking skills is a bad thing though, according to Night Lords. But of course, they've never experienced having NO main attacking skills at all.

We protect from the shadows or become consumed with rage over the lack of balance, thus it turns out we are the Black Mage or become a General. Plus the 2nd job skill tab crashes the game which makes us rage harder

The only class that uses a spear, therefore kind of unique. But a lot of people just use PA now =( I still use a spear on mine! Their dmg isn't very good though... as for all the adventurer classes lol

The roar and buster got me into DKs
IDK what kept me going for so long once they threw away buster pretty much and a 25k range hero can out damage a 40k DrK..

I just hit 170 on my DrK and I think that's it for now. I'm leveling a hero and it's already 121
IF ONLY I COULD TRANSFER EMPRESS WITHOUT SOKS
A dark knight like like a badass pillow. It can have as many cool points as it wants but at the end of the day. They're pillows that can't do much...
But pillows can support your head, neck, and other body parts as you sleep, allowing for a more ergonomic, restful sleep, and therefore providing you with a more productive consciousness during waking hours. They can also provide for stress relief in the form of a pseudo-punching bag, something to hug or cry in, or a tool for recreation such as pillow fights, as well as providing comfort in general. Any badassery is only a bonus to their utility.

I was attracted to this class back in 06 because of the 3rd job moves. I mean who doesnt love dragons?
4thjob made things absolutely more awesome because of berzerk , it was quite challenging trying to stay in zerk mode while training, without dying
(living life literally on the edge).
Though im glad they actually made it easier to use zerk that is a plus.
Absolutely loved using Dragon crusher and Fury.
Beholder, zerk, HB and drain was pretty nice. Hunting bigfoots without worrying about dying.
Spears are awesome and still are to me.

Dark impale and loss of achilles ruined it for me....

Dragon knights were the coolest when I first started playing.
Back in the day, to activate berserk you had to keep your hp below a certain threshold. I thought that was pretty awesome; "powering up" when things got rough. And then there was the aspect of intentionally keeping your hp low so you'd have berserk all the time.
DK's also had the best map attack of the three warriors: dragon's roar. Better still, there were no such thing as cooldowns back then. So it was spammable!
DK's also had one of the most sought after party skills: HB. Now it's value is no more than a gimmick with the advent of revamped hp across the board of characters and with each new character class having more and more hp/mp earlier on (I'm looking at you Novas).
I could go on, but to put it simply DK's and DrK's nowadays are a shadow of their former selves. Gone are the days where party members rejoice at our presence. And yet, here I remain, waiting for the day when we are returned to our former glory.

Drain and Spears are what I enjoy. I like the dragons, but that's not the reason I chose this class or why I stay. I really just enjoy whacking things with a blade on a stick.

Wrong server though....

OT: I wanted a semi rare class, and I started with my sister. I heard that drk/bishop was a good combinations, so that is what we have. But we didn't play much....and then big bang happened and drks got nerfed, and everything is about soloing, rather than partying. I other words, drk/bishop is no longer as great a combo as it was before...

Good thing they're only known as dragon knights for one job advancement; in addition, that one advancement has dragons involved in all but 3 of the skills.

OT: I like how most of their skills look.

(*like before i knew their revamps, impale, and other jobs sharing dragon stuff and all,) made for the spears and 3rd job dragon skills. wasnt really fond of hb & iron will before i made this. i was actually rly reluctant to do the 4th job adv cause i wanted to keep the dragon knight title

My original reason for making a DrK(Way back) was cause of the dragons. Now the only thing that keeps me playing it is the hp, the no need for pots and because I cant stick with other characters
