A lot of it is just Maplestory. Recent patches have introduced a lot of lag and many people have been complaining about it.
It's especially noticeable in towns, but it affects the game everywhere.

Scania has been lagging the last few days, Its probably just alot of people on right now

its scania more than likely but play with your quality see if you get a boost from lower quality. also windows os gets bogged down when installing and uninstalling. So check other games as well if anything search for game booster it will cut off unused processes when gaming allowing your ram to be dedicated.

BTW gpu ram or vram is used for processing the actual video aspect of the game not the background processes.

Internet in New Zealand is pretty bad but again, LoL works fine

you cant just expect lag free just by specs. Other factors should be included too

- What is the current traffic in maplestory?
- Is the server overloaded & are you in a map with lots of people? This can caused lag
- How is your internet connection? If it is slow that can caused lag
- How many programs do you have running in the background? If you constantly run lots of programs/applications, you should upgrade your ram.

etc etc.

Ask yourself these questions

Everyone says the MS does not require such high specs and League of Legends does. I guess its Scania then?
