Is this a mere coincidence?

As secularism increases, so does corruption and crime.

EDIT 1:

There, we see Christianity dropping and Other religions relatively stable with secularism increasing

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime-rate-shows-tenfold-increase-in-past-40-years-1472261.html

Now lets look at the crime rates over a period of time.

Coincidence?
I'd like to see proof of this.
As far as I'm concerned, I've seen just as much crime from religious folks, maybe even more so because of the whole "rebel" part of it all.

By the way, how often do you hear of: Priests touching little kids, people killing in the name of God or because God told them to, hate crimes against other religions in the name of God/their own religion, etc.

I'm not saying this is a representative of all religious people, but it happens regardless of religion/secularism.
a) Not as many as there are rapists in the world
b) not as many as there are people killing for their own reasons
c) not as many as crimes against people in general.
The problem with your argument is that people with no religion are just as morally sound as those who follow religion. You can't pick and choose.
I can say that the ghettos that are filled with god fearing people are an example of why religion is bad, whilst there are thousands of well off people who are non-religious.
And I suppose this is why the crime rate in the religious community is significantly lower than crime rates in the secular community?
What? Religious values and morals are to believe in mythical creatures.
If said mythical creature told us not to do something, and Im a person who believes in this said mythical creature regardless of his existence, I am less inclined to do it then a person who does not believe in said mythical creature.

I was reading a newspaper article earlier showing the areas of New South Wales, Australia showing where religions are around and I notice that the dodgier places to live also happened to be of no religion.
Wait, if we're decreasing in religion I am beyond happy. Otherwise we are clearly doing something horribly wrong. This makes me want to produce millions of babies so I can raise them properly making communities can have some sanity restored to them.
Millions of babies who are in constant fear of murder, theivery, nuisance, and whatever crimes out there because there are more people out there not bound by religious values and morals?
