need to kill magnus for quest
So i'm doing the helesium quests to retake the city as a level 120s angelic buster and fulfill my part in the storyline (kill 100-200 of this monster, get 50-150 of that item, for tens of times), and finally i got through the boring parts and now it says I have to kill magnus but he keeps 1 hitting me and his hp bar decreases like 1 pixel if i ever get any damage off on him. Am I supposed to be able to solo him?
All I ever wanted was to complete the questline and see what happens from there on out. I quest for the plot, not the exp/rewards, and this quest series is particularly interesting as a continuation of the angelic buster's story. Hell, i even did all those as "low level quest"s because i accepted one and forgot about it 20 levels earlier.
I didn't know bosses were given OHKO attacks and all this other OP junk that can ignore invincibility periods or block damage or basically poop on players that aren't hacking (and maybe even those that are?). Zakum was never like this. Not even Hilla was that hard after i learned how to deal with her. But I could sure use some help with magnus in the name of questing.

That makes it harder for everyone else - those OHKO meteors drop more frequently while there is a dead person in the room.
@justsofly According to [url=http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=59084]here[/url], Magnus has 4.8bil HP for GMS, although I'm not sure how since MapleStory was coded in 32-bit environment. Unsigned int32 gives a maximum value of 4.2bil.

Lol you don't solo...unless your DPS is wayyyyyyyyyy up there and you dodging reflexes are good. IIRC normal mode magnus has 3.3b hp, along with the falling meteors, his ridiculous attacks and iframes (only for those who cant reach when he flys up to uses his attack[s]), it's extremely hard for those who don't have manuevering capabilities as well as high DPS.
Unfortunately, Drk is one of the hardest classes to solo Magnus with - not because of mobility, but because of their absolutely abysmal damage.

I wouldn't Magnus in a party. That cuts your allotted deaths in half.

took multiple attempts to solo
you need to be very godly and play a class with decent mobility along with be good at dodging/watching magnus's attacks to solo
dang i was hoping that maybe i couldn't do it at 120 but maybe 150-160 he might be easier. exactly how hard is he? do i NEED a party? does someone have to be one of those massively funded people hitting max damage?
Magnus is supposed to be a difficult boss. I would not recommend soloing him unless you are extremely powerful with pink bean powerz
The reason why the bosses seem difficult is cause they do % damage, similar to the stuff in Azwan. % damage voids all defensive boosts(including things like meso guard and magic guard), making your level irrelevant defense-wise. As for Magnus I wouldn't expect to solo him unless you're uber funded.
