I sometimes sit on toilet too. I read somewhere that it helps prevent something if you sit and pee rather than standing.

some parents just teach their kids to sit, it's not unheard of
sitting makes me spend too much time in the bathroom
I do it too if i'm like drunk, tired, or even lazy.
I do too mostly because I ususally only use the bathroom when I wake up, and go to bed, or to take a #2 and when I wake up/go to sleep I'm super tired and would totally miss if I didn't. However in public bathrooms I'll just use a urinal because those toilets are usually kinda nasty.
