@nitsua2789 do you think we will be weaker again once the patch 1.2.254 hit GMS. It's like we're gonna be strong for a few months. I read that patch and found out they lost total of 30% final damage. LIKE WHAT THAT IS HUGE ! then some skills also decreased in its strength. I thought we were on par with the strongest classes but will losing 30% final damage decrease our strength by a lot. I mean we will lose 1/3 of what we will be dealing now ?
@sorlilly: You wouldn't be losing 1/3 of your damage. Your base damage would just be multiplied by a smaller number. Technically with the first update we're still losing Final Damage on almost every single source of it, but since our hits/s literally triple it doesn't really matter.
Current Final Damage is 50% from Elemental Decrease, 50% from Magic Amplification, and 20% if you use Imprint on something.
After the first update, it's 30% from Elemental Decrease, 30% from Magic Amplification, and 20% if you use Swift Return on something.
After the second balancing, it's 15% from E.D., 15% from M.A., 10% if you use Swift Return on something.
Basically the multiplier on your base damage is changing from 2 (2.2) to 1.6 (1.8) to 1.3 (1.4). The first revamp is still obviously a huge buff overall, the 2nd balancing is obviously a nerf overall but it isn't the most extreme thing in the world. Moving from a 1.6 multiplier to a 1.3 isn't a loss of 1/3 of your damage, and Evan's hits/s will still be one of (if not the) highest in the game.
Given that the initial Evan revamp was insanely strong I don't think the nerf is ridiculous, it's basically to be expected. I'd much rather lose Final Damage or %Damage than get much slower attacks or much fewer hits/s. A lot of classes don't have any Final Damage at all so still keeping 30-40% is pretty solid.
@tubring22: I don't know much about current Aran's vs. post-Revamp Aran's so this may be inaccurate, but I heard that it becomes harder to cap but more DPS if you do cap. You'd be better off asking an Aran main though because I don't know all the details.
