When i heard about the revamp i got my Aran to 170 quickly but then lost motivation for two reasons. The first being the finger pain! Second, the nerf to our skills and damage. My aran, at the time, was my strongest character that I planned on funding. I stopped playing it from then on but I will return to it for the revamp, the nerfs wont sting as much since i haven't played on it in almost a year? I agree with you on it looking and feeling different. I really like the way there heading with the mobility while attacking and cant wait to test it out. I just wish they didn't apply the second nerf to adrenaline mode and remove our +att boosts.
I'll be happy that OSFBBB, granted its really just smash > BB, will be useful again. Also changes to the mechanics of some of the skills will be nice, Judgment probably the best.
Only thing I dislike is the loss of 20% status res, as I will now have to use hyper points on status res and with the loss of some crit rate I can't take points from crit =/ at best I'll be able to get to 99% status res, maybe I should buy status res pots? >.>
Wow. The revamp isn't half bad, gameplay-wise. Huge improvement training and bossing. Huge. No need to spam your attack key! Constant movement by holding one key! OS to FB is back! With all the improvements in gameplay, I don't mind losing attack from our skills, our crit chance, our boss damage, or our status resistance(future patch) lol.
Our drain is terrible now, I'm finding myself using potions if I don't have a mob near me. I either need more maxHP or more weapon/magic defense on my equips w/ starforce.
Our movesets are pretty sick now. Once you master all the skills' key combinations, our movement becomes filled with energy and commotion, it's pretty insane.
But as expected, the cut to our damage is pretty severe; It was disappointing to find out I no longer hit max on bosses with physical resistance (i.e. Empress, CRA, etc.). Adrenaline Rush remedies this somewhat with the temporary +400% damage boost, but even this will get nerfed to +150% later.

Done some testing. The transition from swing>BB is weird if you try to hold swing down and use BB right after. There seems to be some weird delay and it feels horrible.
Combo activated Adrenaline mode is NOT affected by buff duration. Is this one a bug? This is horribly bad. The only thing that was going to make the damage boost from this revamp worth it was the fact that combo activated Adrenaline mode was affected by buff duration. I'll have to check out some old Korean Aran vids. I'm pretty sure their combo activated Adrenaline mode lasts longer than ours.
