Need help on 2 physics questions

Hey Basil, can you guys help me out? I can't seem to figure out the last questions to my homework. </3 Thanks.

1. Is it possible for an object to have a negative acceleration while increasing in speed? If so, provide an example.

2. Can an object be increasing in speed as its acceleration decreases? If so, provide an example.

And aren't these questions like the same? o.o

1. Yes. You drive into a parking spot with a positive velocity and acceleration. When you back out, you have a negative velocity and acceleration, but the speed of that velocity increases as you keep taking your foot off the brake.

2. No.

1. Yes. Gravity. Falling object.

2. If "increasing in speed" you mean by getting more positive then yes. It is possible. Slowing down while going reverse.

Moral of the story: Negative is just another direction.
