Day 3 of mage glitch
Mhm.... and those people said nexon was getting better. The least they could do is shut down the game and attempt to fix it rather than announce "Maplestory is coming to Steam!"
At this point, I also find it pretty unlikely that all if not most of the abusers will be banned, because at this point, tons and tons of mages and phantoms are abusing the heck out of it, and to ban all of them would really hurt nexon's reputation and *gasp* income. And we all know how much they love their income.
Edit: This also might come off to seem like i'm raging at the mages, i'm not, i'm raging at nexon.
Edit 2: Wonderful, they just announced 2x exp and drop for the weekend. Still no word about fixing the glitch, but at least all mages and phantoms can level even faster. AmIRite?

I cheated on my mage and now I feel bad.
They need to fix this.
I hate the mage glitch...
1. it takes me to hit 1s only... so when I'm bossing or trying to clear the way from enemies who can kill me, I'm practically in danger.
2. its hard to go around and not be accused of abusing it...
so for now, it's just sit back and wait
lol at my ilam who hits normal damage. is there a way to make the glitch work?

I realize that it's not your fault that there is an unavoidable glitch in the game. However, you do exploit the glitch when you choose to play with it. You can also choose to not play until Nexon has a chance to fix it. You may have to wait a year for them to get around to it - I kid, of course.

If people are actually KSing others with the glitch, then yeah, it's a problem. I honestly didn't see that very much (I've been in LHC with my Sair doing the quests and dind't have issues finding a map in Scania), but I suppose at 2X events or other busy times, that would indeed be a problem.
How does the damage of another person impact you at all?
I don't care if someone else I'll never meet can do 999,999,999,999 damage every 2.8 nanoseconds. How does that possibly impact my ability to enjoy killing some monsters to blow off a bit of steam?

Like I said, i'm not blaming mages, i'm blaming nexon because they aren't even attempting to fix their mistake as far as I know. The only people I blame are the abusers of this glitch, for example: Newly created mages leveling fast, low levels farming things off bosses they wouldn't normally be able to fight, hell mode azwan... etc.
Excuse me but we're not abusing it, we just don't have any other option because guess what, there's no freaking way to turn it on or off.

Mhm, a nexon worker posted on a thread on the official maplestory forums that they were aware of this glitch and any abusers would have action taken against them. But at this point, abusers are most of the phantom and some of the mage population. I should also mention this thread was posted on the first day of the glitch. So they have done literally NOTHING about this glitch, and they have known about it for quite some time now.

Now that I think of it, Nexon must know this is going on right? In which case, it was pretty unprofessional of them to release MapleStory to Steam while a glitch like this was going on.

^ This exactly. The cassandra glitch when she kept giving out exp during easter was a leveling glitch but it stopped at that. Mages/phantoms are just ruining the economy and every other job is suffering.

They over run the dojo times, kill bosses they shouldn't be able to yet , making them more restricted than they should be. Tell me how much more they haven't crossed the line of severe glitch abuse ? If steam and maple are connected together. Then I want to turn the zombies in L4D2 to look like noobs so I can shoot them! So many changes in my game would make me love the moment.
OT: The glitch should be over by next week. Just sit back and relax.

Exactly, so they are most likely not going to ban a lot of people, if anyone for that matter. This just shows how lazy and uncaring Nexon really is. And before all of you start to flame me because I said this, think about it, they pretty much are not showing care for their players at this time. If this is not a quick fix and requires lots of time to fix this glitch, the least they could do is shut down the game so nobody else can exploit the glitch doing hell mode or power leveling. But of course, why would they shut down the game for an extended period of time that isn't required? It hurts their dear income.

Yes because leaving the game up while mages and phantoms continue to abuse this glitch beyond belief is better. Nexon definetly shouldn't close the game down for a few hours while we sleep to fix it and allow EVERYONE to play fairly and properly. I like their style, they're smart.
Btw its one of those kind of glitches that does affect others in negative ways.
Well at least they responded and acknowledged it instead of being quiet because no one is there to even check on the game for a week or two (familiar hack). I'm not defending Nexon, they screwed up way bad after coming back from a long way but they're still not as bad as they used to be.
Tbh, if they don't do any thing about this glitch, which involves banning massive amount of players (hands out consequences), they're not really upholding their ToS and all we can do is be disappointed at how they approach this issue
