Ctrl getting stuck problem

Hi Basil, I've seen threads addressing this issue before, but none of them really offer an explanation as to why this happens.

The problem is that I can't type after attacking (or even teleporting around a map) continuously. The only thing I use 'alt' for is jumping, and I had to take Infinity off 'ctrl' because my chat window was getting spammed with "You may not use this skill yet", so I am convinced 'ctrl' is the key that is getting stuck. This issue is very annoying especially during bosses like czak when I need to alert my party that I'm being seduced right after getting 1/1ed.

I'm using an HP laptop and running Windows 7. None of my device drivers seem to be out of date when I open device manager.

I am aware that pressing both ctrl keys will fix the problem temporarily. My issue is that this sometimes doesn't work for me. I will sit there mashing ctrl and alt in hopes that it will let me type and it won't, so I will be forced to restart my computer. Any info as to why this problem occurs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I just went to my keyboard settings and I have them turned off, but I'll play around with the settings some more and see if anything changes.

If you have some cash, go buy a new keyboard. They aren't that expensive nowadays.

It might be when you press ctrl + Shift

I'll definitely try this. The only reason I thought to put up a thread is that I know I'm not the only one having this issue with a non-USB keyboard.
