Hey everyone, firstly I'd like to start off by saying I know this isn't, so if bodybuilding, powerlifting, and/or general fitness doesn't interest you then please hit the back button and go back to the Anime section. There use to be a pretty big fitness community on Basil back when I would post (My last post on this account was exactly 1 year ago, October 2015). I thought that I would start a thread to see if anyone around is still lifting, hitting their macros, and making sick gains. Feel free to post your stats & goals in a similar format, I'd love to hear what other people's lifts are and what you're trying to achieve.

I'm now 25 years old, I've been lifting for about 6 years now. I consider myself more of a powerlifter than a bodybuilder since my main goal during training is strength rather than muscle growth, however I do supplement my workouts with a lot of hypertrophy as well.

At 185 lb bodyweight my big 3 are:

315 Benchpress
435 Squat
515 Deadlift

testing out deadlifts again, first time in 4 months probably. cannot do conventional anymore due to back injury but sumo felt alright last night. no back pain the day after so thats a good sign. feels batman that at my peak i would warm up with 315lb for 5+ and now im doing 135lb for 5 for a working set.

+2 Slacked for the past 3 days, school has been hectic. But on a good note, got a B+ on my last mid-term while the class average was F lel. All kinds of gains... today, I'll go hard and do it up.

180 on biceps
I gained a lot of upper body strength as of late. What would you guys rec for that?

@megalon: What do those numbers mean? 180 on biceps? 180lb curls? kg? reps? Recommend for what, I don't understand the question.

180Reps on biceps
I lift a ~30lb amplifier by it's handle everyday. I'm 200lb with a goal of being 180lb. Do I increase cardio or keep doing calisthenics? My gut has to go.

@megalon: Those are some super high reps. I'd suggest increasing the weight and doing far less reps. Also don't workout the same body part everyday, muscles need time to recover.

We weigh about the same, high 5. Diet, cals in vs cals out. Just burn more cals than you're consuming and you'll lose weight over time.

Only started working out like one year ago and I didn't really put in a lot of effort(only went to gym in school twice a week, didn't have time to go to a real gym)
Weight: 145lb
Bench: I do like 3x5 of 115lb bench normally, max is like 145.
Deadlift: Don't really like doing them but I do 185-225
Squats: Around 175 but a lot of reps.
Curl: 25-30lb 3x8

Anybody have any tips on how to make more gains other than going to the gym more often? I haven't taken any supplements( I feel like it's going to harm my body)

@infamousjack: back legs chest core & cardio. Accessories are pointless right now. Stretch & don't injury yourself. It won't be easy.

@infamousjack: Do overhead press to hit your shoulders. Eat more. When you say gains, what do you mean? Strength or mass?
